É exactamente o que eu acho.
 
Se o SO aumentar de preço após o período inicial as pessoas que não o compraram provavelmente também vão à procura de keys e voltamos ao mesmo. Acho que devia ser estabelecido um preço máximo dependendo da versão (basic, home, pro) e as suas funcionalidades. Um preço que as pessoas pensassem duas vezes antes de sacar uma key. Pessoalmente não me vejo a dar mais de 50€ por um SO.

Lá está... Muitas pessoas tem a versão pirata e é o que chega para o dia a dia, ir a net e pouco mais. Para isso mais vale lançar um SO versão base para essas pessoas, depois fazer com que essas pessoas baixem app específicos na loja da MS e assim ganham da mesma forma que a Google ganha com a Play.

Qualquer pessoa que tenha de decidir entre ter um SO base oficial ou um SO pirata pelo mesmo "preço" vai sempre decidir pelo original.
 
December Update on the Windows Insider Program

I know that some of you are disappointed that we didn’t release another build (though we know some of them escaped….I’m looking at you 9888 & 9901…)* but now that we’ve announced our event on January 21st I can finally explain why we didn’t. We’ve been very hard at work putting together a great build for you that includes a bunch of new features and improvements. As all of those payloads came in we needed to stabilize code, fix any integration issues, and ensure all of the new UX is polished. We’re really focused on making the next build something that we hope you’ll think is awesome. In fact, just so that we have a *daily* reminder to ourselves that we want this build to be great, we even named our build branch FBL_AWESOME. Yeah, it’s a bit corny, but trust me that every Dev that checks in their code and sees that branch name gets an immediate reminder of our goal. We’re super excited to show you what we’ve been up to! Look for a follow-up blog post from us on where to tune-in to the live webcast on January 21st.

Bem, eu lendo bem esse texto, parece que mostra uma extrema confiança do trabalho que estão a fazer.
Usando o Dev build considero que está excelente tirando o consumo excessivo de bateria e alguns bugzitos.

Many of these are “just bugs” but you’ll also see changes to the UX or features that are based on your suggestions too. For example, we added the option to choose which folder is the default when opening File Explorer, which many of you requested. We also added the ability to turn off recent files and/or frequent folders in “Home”, and added a little animation/transition when opening the Start menu, which were also frequently requested. There are a great many more but we’ll wait to talk about those in more detail soon.

Mostra uma UI coerente que é algo que até ao Windows 8 nunca tivemos. Aliás, minto, há 20 anos atrás o Windows 95 era perfeitamente coerente em termos de linguagem visual.

Claro que iremos ter PT-PT na final build, ninguém diz o contrário. Há anos que temos, não seria agora.
Não é isso que está em causa, mas sim, pelo que percebi, caso tenhas a build presente em PT-PT, não irás receber o update. Se é um problema? Não, é um estorvo xD
 
É uma atitude lógica por parte deles. Por muito que nos doa o orgulho, a comunidade brasileira activa na Internet é muito, mas muito superior à portuguesa. São um dos maiores mercados para a tecnologia, é natural que sejam favorecidos, penso eu...
