Xbox Ninja Gaiden 2

While details about the sequel to the PS3 hit title Ninja Gaiden Sigma has been elusive these past couple of months, this latest bit of news should end all rumors and misinformation - the official Xbox website has stated that Ninja Gaiden 2 will be released exclusively on the Xbox 360. And they have some screenshots and a trailer to boot!

The development studio behind the sequel is still Team Ninja and the legendary video game developer Tomonobu Itagaki is still very much part of the project. The following new features can be expected from the sequel:

• Exhilarating ninja action: Assuming the role of a ninja warrior, experience the new "finishing blows" system that combines gore with fast action and a well-honed combat system. In addition to a variety of brutal new primary weapons and enhanced versions of previous favorites, Ninja Gaiden 2 features both land and water-based action with advanced on-water battles providing a beautiful counterpoint to the land-based action.
• Easy to play, hard to master:Ninja Gaiden 2's new auto-healing system featuring semi-permanent damage restored at save points is the natural evolution of the franchise's distinctive gameplay, and introduces a new twist to managing health. Featuring a newly implemented auto-healing functionality and save point system, as well as an extensive story mode and multiple difficulty levels available from the start of the game, the gameplay is accessible to more casual players and challenging to even the most demanding gamers.
• Massive content and engrossing story: The themes of revenge and friendship in Ninja Gaiden 2 give rise to a series of dramatic events to create a truly compelling story. From Tokyo to New York and to the Netherworld, the story leads you through a 30-hour story mode as you skillfully maneuver Ryu Hayabusa through a demonized world fraught with peril and danger. In addition to the single-player campaign, upload Karma scores to Xbox Live leaderboards and participate in an all-new Master Ninja Tournament.
• Realistic graphics in next-generation gaming: Built from the ground-up from Team Ninja's in-house gaming engine for Xbox 360, Ninja Gaiden 2 represents the best in amazing visuals, responsive control, and thrilling combat with an extensive assortment of ninja weaponry.

he gameplay is so fast that it's hard to watch. Hard to keep up with. Lots of blood. Bodies getting chopped in half. Ryu pins enemis on the ground, thrusts his sword in, and they explode!

After the fight, he shakes the blood of his sword. Then runs up the stairs to the top of a bridge. Lots of eneies appear. Ryu does a ninja arts move. He switches form his rapier sword to a twin blade.

Then to shurikens. Actually, I think the shurikens are equipped as a subweapon. The environments have a lot of destructable elements to them. He's fighting in a fruit stand area, and when the fight ends, all the stands have been destroyed and the fruits are lying on the ground.

Next, Ryu faces off aginst gun-wielding enemies. They have machine guns.

Chopped up bodies are everywhere. They don't seem to be leaving the scene, at least not initially.

Now, he changes to Ryu's claws. Giant winged beasts, three times his size appear. They have green blood.

HOLY *&%# THIS IS THE MOST AMAZING ACTION GAME I'VE EVER SEEN!!!

Boss time. A giant rumbling. A huge beast, with six legs and 10 times Ryu's size rampages onto the scene. He roars, then the demo comes to an end.

Uma estratégia de cortar a respiração.
Parece que foi a Microsoft quem autorizou Ninja Gaiden a ir para a PS3 e DS, pois os jogadores destas plataformas ao jogarem o jogo vão querer jogar a sequela, e esta será exclusiva Xbox 360. Assim, terão de comprar a consola para poderem jogar Ninja Gaiden 2.

[X360] NINJA GAIDEN 2 diz adeus ao PS3!

Finally, the big announcement everyone had been waiting for: Ninja Gaiden 2 was announced as a 360 exclusive to be published by Microsoft rather than Tecmo. We'll let 1UP's exclusive world premiere preview do the talking for this one, but needless to say, it's looking sharp. Ninja Gaiden creator Itagaki took some time during the conference to explain that Team Ninja had to cut "10 or 20 features" from the original game due to the limitations of the Xbox hardware, but these could now be feasible with Ninja Gaiden 2.
