Depois de muito tempo sem qualquer informação sobre este jogo, a Digi-Guys, produtora responsável por este título exclusivo PlayStation 3, divulgou finalmente novas imagens.

A produtora está bastante optimista com a tecnologia RTE 1080, desenvolvida especialmente para WarDevil e que será capaz de gerar uma resolução de 1920x1080 pixels, deixando o visual do jogo semelhante ao de sequências pré-renderizadas. O objectivo é criar um jogo em que não seja possível saber se o que esta, a ver são animações (CGs) ou imagens reais da jogabilidade.

Para terminar, foi também anunciado que um novo trailer do jogo deverá surgir durante o corrente mês de Outubro. Por agora ficam umas imagens:

Parece ser bom mas não é o que espero pra já depois do mgs4, gird, gta 4, lbp ,killzone e resistance 2 desejo um mmorpg para 3.
 
WarDevil: Unleash the Beast Within is an fantasy action-adventure video game currently in production by CGI and games development company Digi-Guys, exclusively for the PlayStation 3. It was originally planned to be released for both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, but the Xbox 360 version was cancelled in order to focus on one platform.

The game uses a new and sophisticated gaming engine called RTE1080 (real time engine). The WarDevil RTE1080 Engine has been developed by Digi-Guys to realize the graphical depth and complexity that's required for the WarDevil game. The RTE1080 is designed to work in 1920x1080 HD and run at 60 fps, to create a visual style that surpasses the look and feel of pre-rendered FMV sequences.

Players will assume the role of the mysterious WarDevil, traveling through what appears to be a post-apocalyptic world. The game designers said to expect levels in such places as ruined wastelands, desert strongholds, ruined hotels, Huge bars and military bases.

WarDevil: Enigma was the name given to the technical demo shown at E3 2006. From what Digi-Guys have said, Enigma will also be used to introduce major characters and will be the version that is 'show' ready for the major video game conventions. Now, WarDevil Unleash the Beast Within was the demo shown at TGS 2005 and is companion to Enigma; both are parts of the overall 'WarDevil Project' which will include both the game and now a full length feature film.

Wardevil is being developed as a hack-and-slash action game, such as Devil May Cry and Ninja Gaiden. It has newly tested styles being added to the gameplay, to try and make the game push the Playstation 3, as much as possible. (Noticeable, on the count of the fact, that it's being run, on 1080p)

- They will not be at GDC this year, however expect to see new updates to their website around the same time.

Bem... 1080p, 60fps com qualidade de um vídeo FMV pré-renderizado? :kfold: Boa sorte. Se o conseguirem são os meus heróis. Não deixa de ser interessante no que toca a gráficos, agora a gameplay só sabemos que é um hack-and-slash, mas espero bem meta uma beca de RPG.

New teaser site for WarDevil launched

Digi-Guys and Ingnition Entertainment have just launched a new teaser site for their upcoming PS3 exclusive WarDevil. The site, called WarDevil Chronicles, is a companion piece for WarDevil. How exactly its related to the story of the game was not touched upon, but Digi-Guys promised more details tying the whole universe together would be released soon.

O jogo dantes até tinha um aspecto agradável. Não sei se esta mudança de estilo está directamente ligada com o jogo em si, ou se foi apenas usada para este teaser.
Espero bem que seja a 2ª opção :rolleyes:
 
Essa noticia nesse site está muito mal contada. Isto é o que está no PSU.com que costuma estar em contacto frequente com Digi-Guys.

As part of a New Years treat, the team over at Digi-Guys have released new content from a special side project entitled "Wardevil Chronicles."

According to the DigiGuys, Wardevil Chronicles is an accompanying 2D Cartoon/Anime that will be used to debut various characters and scenarios throughout the life of the main WarDevil Project.

"We may do more - and expand the Project in many ways, as we've had great fun creating the 2D style - it's designed to be very different to the high-end/CG look of the main Project," said a DigiGuys representative.

Parece-me que é algo que segue por exemplo a linha do Heavenly Sword em que temos animações de poucos minutos para contar um pouco da história.

Mas não sei porquê, olho para a personagem e lembro sempre do Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver da Playstation :-D

O Wardevil chronicles não é o jogo para a ps3, leiam bem as noticias, o Wardevil ps3 é outro projecto, o main project.

Se em vez de 1 produto, temos mais um extra, só ficamos a ganhar.
 
Bem, assim sendo fico mais descansado. Parece seguir as pisadas do Heavenly Sword (como o Halcyon referiu) e também do mais recente Mirror's Edge. Sempre é melhor do que o que eu temia, ou seja, o jogo ter adoptado um estilo cel-shaded. Até aprecio este estilo, mas não acho que ficasse bem num jogo como este.

Nesse aspecto (de pouco revelarem) sim :)

No entanto se não estou em erro, este será o 1º jogo desta produtora. Não se sabe bem o que esperar, pois eles ainda não têm provas dadas.

Mas oxalá que saia daqui algo agradável.
