Retirado do mpcclub:
The unit will feature a full length design (43cm width) and harbors a removable drive cage and a big LCD in front (multi-line for easy browsing). The remote will have backlit and is an "RF" remote which allows commands from multiple rooms through walls. The great thing about the C-200 is that we can remove the drive cage and replace it with a BD-Rom (any will do unlike stated before by the competition this is not possible, although we haven't tested a lot yet to verify who is right). When using a BD-ROM, the C-200 can still be fitted with a hard drive internally, be it a 2.5" drive. Click on "read more" for the full story.
As known, the C-200 will be based on Sigma's 8643 chip running at 667MHz and the unit will feature 512MB DDR2 memory, more than sufficient for Blu-ray playback. The unit is expected to be officially available at stores around the middle of July however no dates or plans can be confirmed by Syabas at this time due to some work pending on the SDK and firmware. If Syabas keeps it's plans communicated a long time ago to keep this unit below €300, the product is a success as far as we are concerned. The extra cost to insert a BD drive brings it close or in the same range as the HDI units although there's a serious difference to be expected in the performance due to the memory and new more powerful chip. It's likely though HDI will be the more stable one at first while the C-200 will offer more advanced settings and functionality.
if at all anything changed under the hood for software, likely not. We expect the C-200 to continue Syabas introduced HTML menus in the previous generation however the performance and load time should have drastically improved. In less than 4 weeks we expect to officially announce the start of our own internal review after which we can confirm this product lives up to our expectations and needs.
Until then... enjoy what you get as info as it helps to decide which way to go in the near future with so much new stuff coming out...
