[PSN] Beyond Good & Evil HD (Ubisoft)

A Ubisoft revelou que o jogo Beyond Good & Evil terá uma nova versão para a Xbox 360 e PS3.

Longe de ser a tão aguardada sequela, a Ubisoft lançará uma versão HD do original de 2003, que saiu na PS2, Xbox, PC e Gamecube.

O jogo irá estar disponível via PlayStation Network e Xbox Live Arcade, isto já no próximo ano. Está prometido um visual HD de 1080p, onde tudo no jogo foi melhorado.

Por isso se estão à espera da sequela, pode ser que o Beyond Good & Evil HD seja o próximo jogo.

It's been seven years since Beyond Good & Evil wowed us with its personality, sharp writing, and excellent voice acting -- IGN gave it a 9. Next year you'll get to either relive the experience or see why it's a cult classic when Beyond Good & Evil HD is released on Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network. This will be the same game released in 2003, only now it will have 1080p visuals, the character models are receiving makeovers, textures are being polished, and the soundtrack is being re-mastered. Achievements/trophies and online leaderboards have also been added.

Beyond Good & Evil was created by Rayman developer Michael Ancel. It has many gameplay elements in common with The Legend of Zelda including puzzle dungeons, vehicular transport to different parts of the game world, an intuitive combat system, and even heart containers. You play as Jade, a spunky 20 year old scraping by as a freelance photographer. Her home, the island city of Hillys, is under attack by a sinister alien race, the DomZ. Jade is recruited to help expose a massive conspiracy and try to put an end to the war.

IGN played Beyond Good & Evil HD today and, after we reminded our brains how to play (it's been seven years!), we found it to be the same game we know and love.

Publisher Ubisoft has yet to announce price or a release window (other than 2011) for Beyond Good & Evil HD.
