Is the Samsung GT-i8350 the successor to the Samsung Omnia 7?
Tezawaly from Nanapho.jp has dug up the uaprof profile for a new Samsung handset which appears to be running Windows Phone 7 Mango, if the presence of IE9 is anything to go by.
The handset, the GT-i8350, appears to be in the same series as the GT-i8700, which is of course the Samsung Omnia 7, leading nanapho to speculate it is the Mango-running successor to that device.
The GT-i8350 has also shown up already in Samsung’s UK support database, but at present the entry is empty.
It seems while we have been told not to expect a big wave of handsets this fall, there will be more than a few to chose from.

[h=2]Samsung Omnia W to be a rather pathetic device[/h] August 11, 2011 | By Surur
HDBlog.it has leaked Samsung roadmap for the rest of the year, and it reveals one Windows Phone 7 handset, the Samsung Omnia W, set to be released by October 1st.
For a second generation Windows Phone 7 handset the specs are extremely underwhelming. The handset apparently features a 1 Ghz processor, 512 Mb RAM, 3.7 inch screen, and 5 megapixel camera.
The handset is expected to the the successor to the Samsung Omnia 7, and may be the Samsung GT-i8350 which has recently passed through bluetooth certification.
Hopefully there will be more and better Windows Phone 7 handsets from Samsung, and this is just a low-end play, else Samsung might as well remain outside the Windows Phone 7 game, at least in Europe.
