AT&T's Samsung Focus 2 announced: Windows Phone with LTE for $49.99 on May 20t

The long-rumored Samsung Mandel is finally official for AT&T as the Focus 2, an LTE-enabled Windows Phone for AT&T. Features include a 5-megapixel camera with 720p video capture, 4-inch Super AMOLED display, front-facing VGA cam for video calling, and (of course) LTE support — though at 10.98mm thick, it's not exactly keeping pace with the thinner smartphones on the market.

The Focus 2 joins Nokia's Lumia 900 and HTC's Titan II as AT&T's LTE-capable Windows Phones, but this one is the cheapest upfront: it'll launch for $49.99 on contract on the 20th of this month in "pure white."

The specs of the Samsung Focus 2 include a 4" Super AMOLED screen (WVGA resolution as all other WP7 phones), 5MP camera with 720p video recording, a VGA front-facing camera, Windows Phone 7.5 OS, 1.4GHz processor, 11mm thickness and 122g of weight.

There's LTE connectivity (of course) and if you're outside the covered areas, the phone will fall back to HSPA+ (which AT&T also calls "4G").

The Samsung Focus 2 will be available in glossy pure white starting May 20

Mais um Samsung WP a ser lançado com o WP 7,5. Mais um com processador single-core. A menos de 6 meses da saída do WP8. O Paul Thurrott ao ver todos estes lançamentos antes do WP8 deve estar a pensar que a sua fonte (muito credível) é bem capaz de vir a estar errada. :)
 
Parece um produto interessante da Samsung.
É impressão minha ou é extremamente parecido com o Nokia Lumia 610? Isto começa a ficar interessante em laçamentos de aparelhos com Windows Phone! ;)

É mesmo só impressão, não tem nada a ver a não ser trazerem o mesmo S.O.
Tudo é diferente: tamanho, tamanho de ecrã e resolução, processador, memória RAM, bateria, peso, este permite velocidade 4G, enfim, Lumia 610 e este modelo Samsung não têm mesmo nada a ver. São de segmentos diferentes.
