THE HEAD of Microsoft’s Game Technology Group, Scott Henson has been telling gamers not to expect anyone to get a console game working at 1080p. A few hardware makers, particularly in the HDTV market, have been peddling their wares saying that they can handle the near perfect 1080p standard.
However Henson said that as far as games consoles are concerned that is "basically impossible".
Speaking to Kikizo magazine, Henson said that if you talk to any developer they will tell you that they will not have a performing game at 1080p.
If game developers like Microsoft do not try to get games at the 1080p standard then it could leave it largely out in the cold, shivering and needing a cocoa with some rum in it.
