25 Tutorials To Get You Started With Inkscape

Inkscape is a great open source alternative for commercial vector editor like Illustrator the same way Gimp is an alternative for Photoshop and Blender is for Maya. Despite being a fairly advanced vector graphic editor Inkscape doesn’t get as much attention and coverage like other similar open source projects.
As it is the case with most open source projects Inkscape started as a fork of another vector editor Sodipodi (not actively developed anymore). Since the fork, Inkscape got a redesigned UI, ported to C++, supports SVG and complex scripting – a feature lacking in most commercial alternatives.
As I have been playing around with Inkscape for the last few weeks in an attempt to improve my graphics skills I have come across some amazing tutorials that have helped me greatly. I hope these tutorials will help you as much as they helped me improve.
