Afinal a 3DS sempre dá cartas no departamento do grafismo.

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate story trailer reveals cel-shaded cut-scenes

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate is one of the most anticipated 3DS titles of 2013 and thankfully it’s being developed by MercurySteam who gave us the excellent Castlevania: Lords of Shadow two years ago.

Mirror of Fate takes place 25 years after the events of Lords of Shadow and features many familiar characters from the Castlevania series including Gabriel, Simon and Trevor Belmont as well as Dracula’s son Alucard.

A new trailer was recently released that gives us a glimpse at Trevor’s story arc and reveals that certain cut-scenes in Mirror of Fate have a cel-shaded aesthetic that is quite different from the more realistic graphics featured in the rest of the game.

Castlevania: Mirror of Fate Will Take 16 Hours To Complete, Estimates Producer

castlevania-mirror-of-fate-630x327.jpg

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate will take the average player 16 hours to complete the first time around, says series producer, Dave Cox.

Take that with a grain of salt, since developers almost always fail to effectively estimate how long it would take players to complete something. That having been said, if you’re interested, Cox also provided his estimates for 100% completion and a second play-through of the game.

“Average first play thru is 16 hours,” Cox shared with a fan on Twitter. “If you want to collect everything 100%? its longer, second play thru are around 12 hours.” Later, he elaborated: “It’s more around 20 hours to get everything for an average player.”

What do you get for 100% completion? A secret ending, like in Castlevania: Lords of Shadow. Well, there go our hopes of Alucard stripping down to his undies if you get everything.

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate will be released this March in North America and Europe. Prior to its release, the game will get a demo on the Nintendo eShop.
