1.4 One-way or Two-way connection?
The connection to the satellite by skyDSL is unidirectional. You can only receive data with your satellite dish. Data or requests can not be sent to the satellite directly. They need to be transmitted through a feedback channel via internet.
Other providers also offer bidirectional connections that also enable you to communicate with the satellite on the feedback channel directly. At the same time the connection fees are relatively high. Compared to DSL-internet you have an inexpensive alternative using SkyDSL and your phone line. Thereby skyDSL uses the advantages of the satellite connection: fast download of internet pages. Compared to the volume of downloaded data the amount of uploaded data is relatively minimal for most surfers. The slower connection when uploading through your ISP via phone line is barely noticed.

Isso e o facto de terem pings desastrosos. Ou seja, tudo o que seja jogos online é logo esquecer com satélite.

Mas pronto, para aquelas zonas em que não existem mais nada é a única opção viável, por enquanto. Se bem que acaba sempre por ficar demasiado caro.

Também é possivel fazer uma ligação bi-direccional... mas é preciso pagar um bom € para ter um emissor de satélite.

à uns tempos/semanas deu no discovery ou odisseia uma cena obre redes sem fios axo eu, onde falaram numa cena k eles fizeram juntamente com um link entre marrocos e espanha. Um dos tipos ate vivia na altura numa serra kalker portuguesa, num dakeles autocarros de freaks modificado para ele la habitar. outro era espanhol e havia um 3º k estava no reino unido.
