AM2+, AM3, VRM STFU
The lethal swarm of ChileHardware does not stop to work, and our soldiers already entered the offices of AMD for “borrowing” last documents about the future variables for the manufacture of motherboards for the processors to come.
As you already know, the new AMD CPU´s were called as stars, in comparison with the present ones that take the name of cities.
These new AMD CPU´s will have a worked FPU, HTT 3,0 and has supported for memories DDR2-1066, in addition to being compatible with socket AM2 and AM2+.
Nevertheless to obtain compatibility between processors AM2 in boards AM2+, the new motherboards for enthusiastic will have to use voltage regulators of double plane, which could increase the price of the motherboards.
This type of regulators also took care in AM3, that had of being sent during second half of the 2008.
The motherboards mainstream and of low cost tend to have voltage regulators with less Power and unified plane, which could make difficult that they are compatible with last and future processors.
