Gráfica AMD RDNA2 (RX 6000 series)

Boas. Fiz uns testes com a minha 6800xt para ver se conseguia passar algum dos limites apenas com a MPT do Igor Labs

A minha gaming X trio tem uma bios um pouco reservada apenas com 265w e 9% power target

Primeiro passo foi aumentar para 15% power e 300w limite. Os clocks continuam no limite de 2600mhz e a fazer artefactos devido a precisar de mais V.

Segundo passo foi aumentar a voltagem para 1175mv mas qualquer alteração faz com os drivers entrem em modo pânico e os clocks ficam a 500mhz não conseguindo aumentar pois faz reset ao driver.

Terceiro passo foi tentar passar os limites da vram, pondo um limite de 1150mhz na MPT, passando os limites e ate conseguindo uns estáveis 2600mhz os drivers entram em modo pânico pondo o Core a 500mhz mas a vram continua a 2600mhz sem qualquer artefacto ou Crash.

Espero que tirem os limites porque só pela vram poderá haver algumas surpresas com mais performance :).

Ou sair a 6800 XT Mercedão edition, com carcaça em fibra de carbono com mesmo livery dos carros.

In fact, it is unclear what Nashira might actually be. The GPU has been spotted on a desktop platform with Ryzen 5 3600X processor. However, it was tested using custom settings, which makes it impossible to compare the GPU to anything we know, considering how inaccurate AotS results can be. What is also interesting is that the GPU has been detected in dual GPU configuration.

It is possible that Nashira Summit might be Navi22 or Navi 23 based GPU being tested by an AIB or AMD themselves. Whether this is a mobile or desktop GPU, it is not possible to confirm right, as even mobile GPUs initially use a desktop board for evaluation.

Assim de repente o único node recente a produzir actualmente "Automotive Grade chips" é o 16/12nm, embora a TSMC tenha disponibilizado o "PDK" em Maio do ano passado para permitir o fabrico a 7nm.

Portanto não é por aqui, uma vez que os ciclos de desenvolvimento e qualificação dos chips não são idênticos aos restantes chips como são os telemóveis, o telemóvel avariar por causa do SoC é uma coisa, o chip dentro de um automóvel avariar é outra.

Além disso há outros factores a ter aqui em conta:

1º - a capacidade de praticamente todas as foundries (em qualquer diâmetro e node) tem estado escassa, e os preços a subir há vários meses;

2º - a entrada em vigor das novas normas europeias (obrigatórias em 2022) para a segurança rodoviária, que passarão a exigir mais electrónica, o que significa mais chips que vão ter de ser fabricados em algum lugar, não necessariamente na TSMC a 7nm (ver ponto anterior)

In the fourth quarter, sales for TSMC’s auto chips jumped 27% from the previous quarter, but still only accounted for 3% of overall sales in the quarter.

Tesla to use AMD Navi 23 GPU for its infotainment system?

Known leaker Patrick Schur posted a diagram, which appears to confirm that Tesla will be using AMD Navi 23 GPU for its onboard entertainment and (possibly) navigation systems. The diagram would confirm that Navi 23 for Tesla systems will have GDDR6 memory in 16Gb (2GB) capacity. This memory would be manufactured by Samsung (K4ZAF325XM). There would be 4 modules which means 8GB of memory in total. According to the diagram, the memory is 14 Gbps and is attached to a 128-bit memory bus. This would provide a maximum bandwidth of 224 GB/s, similar to Xbox Series S.

The system offers dual DisplayPort and HDMI 1.4 connections along with PCIe Gen4 x8 (8Gb/s) which are attached to onboard monitors and board to board (B2B) connector.
