AMD has officially announced the Turion 64 X2. This laptop version of a K8 dual core singles out from the PC version because of the specific S1 Socket, the 638 pins and the memory controller. The Turion 64 X2 supports DDR-2 from DDR2-400 to DDR2-667.
Those of you who are used to AMD’s Turion denomination will notice that models currently released only have a TDP of 35 watts.
