Mas de qualquer maneira é essa a ideia destronar os C2D mas será que o faz com os C2Q (Core 2 Quad) ? eu até gostava que assim fosse a AMD consseguiu impressionar me quando conseguiu destronar a Intel aqui a uns anos atrás.

E fico contente por serem compativeis com AM2, pq assim para o pessoal, como eu :D, que tem conf. AM2 podera adquiri los...

Err, aqueles 128bit por core dizem respeito às instruções SSE, não ao suporte de software (que de qualquer maneira é inexistente).
E os Core 2 Duo actuais já são 128bit SSE.
 
Era bonito de se ver se a AMD conseguisse acabar com este reinado da Intel em tão pouco tempo, lool era um grande banho para intel :P

Mas não me parece sinceramente....

Nao é Penryn... é um 45nm, quad core, SSE4, que nao me lembro do nome :P

"Yorkfield" é um Quad-Core, com velocidades até 3.73GHz e 2x6MB de L2.

"Wolfdale" é um Dual-Core, com velocidades até 4GHz e 6MB de L2.
