https://www.mersenneforum.org/showthread.php?p=614191AVX512 Flavors:
This was leaked many months ago, but just to confirm it: Zen4's AVX512 flavors is all of Ice Lake plus AVX512-BF16.
So Zen4 has:
- AVX512-F
- AVX512-CD
- AVX512-VL
- AVX512-BW
- AVX512-DQ
- AVX512-IFMA
- AVX512-VBMI
- AVX512-VNNI
- AVX512-BF16
- AVX512-VPOPCNTDQ
- AVX512-VBMI2
- AVX512-VPCLMULQDQ
- AVX512-BITALG
- AVX512-GFNI
- AVX512-VAES
The ones it is missing are:
- The Xeon Phi ones: AVX512-PF, AVX512-ER, AVX512-4FMAPS, AVX512-4VNNIW
- AVX512-VP2INTERSECT (from Tiger Lake)
- AVX512-FP16 (from Sapphire Rapids and AVX512-enabled Alder Lake)
https://www.phoronix.com/review/amd-zen4-avx512/6On average for the tested AVX-512 workloads, making use of the AVX-512 instructions led to around 59% higher performance compared to when artificially limiting the Ryzen 9 7950X to AVX2 / no-AVX512.
From these results I am rather impressed by the AVX-512 performance out of the AMD Ryzen 9 7950X. While initially being disappointed when hearing of their "double pumping" approach rather than going for a 512-bit data path, these benchmark results speak for themselves. For software that can effectively make use of AVX-512 (and compiled so), there is significant performance uplift to enjoy while no negative impact in terms of reduced CPU clock speeds / higher power consumption (with oneDNN being one of the only exceptions seen so far in terms of higher power draw).
Allowing Ryzen 9 7950X up to 230 watts instead of up to 142 watts previously increases the performance in the multi-core test course by only 5 percent. Conversely, the performance drops by only 5 percent when the known upper limit for the 16-core processor is used. And even at 88 watts, i.e. only 38% of the official upper limit, the new CPU is still 12 percent faster than its predecessor.
Would you like another comparison? With 45 watts, the Ryzen 7 7700X (8 cores) is over 20 percent faster in multi-core scenarios than the Ryzen 9 6900HS (8 cores) notebook APU, which is trimmed for maximum efficiency and also has 45 watts
Another approach to get Ryzen 7000 to be more efficient is lowering the CPU supply voltage (VCore), also known as "undervolting" (UV). In contrast to a PPT limit, this does not limit the CPU's power consumption absolutely, but reduces the power consumption in every load state. Both can also be combined with it. A lower TDP limit usually goes hand in hand with no stability risks, while a VCore that is too low leads to a crash.
In the editorial test, the Ryzen 9 7950X revealed great UV potential: With a VCore offset of -100 mV (-0.100 volts), the system no longer proved to be reliably stable in all loads, -90 mV (-0.090 volts) were possible in the tested apps. As a result, power consumption and temperature dropped significantly. At the same time, the clock increased, albeit only slightly.

Nao consigo compreender.
Devem estar a adiantar trabalho.
Site tuga bem badalado...neste momento 5800X a 514,90€.
