ASUS Launches P5E64 WS Professional X38 Workstation Motherboard

ASUS, world leader in motherboard design and production, has released the ASUS P5E64 WS Professional workstation motherboard. This powerful motherboard provides multiple-display function, duo PCIe 2.0 slots, and a host of practical solutions for convenient and efficient work efficiency.

Eight Times PC Desktop Space for Effective Multi-tasking
The P5E64 WS Professional is distinctive because it is able to support 4 PCIe x16 slots; which allows users to display a maximum of 8 monitor displays. This is ideal for users who require a large amount of screen and desktop space like CAD/CAM programmers, banking and finance executives and SOHO users.

With support for such screen space, users can increase their work efficiency by eliminating the time used while alt-tabbing between programs by easily working on up to 8 different applications in full screen mode at once. With this multi-display capability, users like professional digital painters can process multiple tasks in different monitors for enhanced work efficiency. Great convenience is ensured as this multi-display support allows users to browse their picture library thumbnails on one monitor, use the second to view them in full screen, edit them on a third, and browse the Internet / read emails on the fourth etc.

Practical Features for Efficient Work Solutions

Another advantage of the P5E64 WS Professional is the G.P. Diagnosis card. This useful card helps provide quick and precise system checks, and displays errors on the LED display – helping users pinpoint errors quickly. Connecting on the TPM header, the G.P. Diagnosis card also provides great convenience with the onboard reset and power buttons for easy troubleshooting.

The P5E64 WS Professional is also fully compatible with the ASUS SASsaby Card. Utilizing the SAS technology, users will be able to enjoy a safer, more stable and faster data transfers for storage I/O interfaces than previous SATA interfaces. The SASsaby Card is also fully backwards compatible with SATA interfaces.

The P5E64 WS Professional also supports duo PCIe 2.0 x16 slot for double the bus bandwidth from 2.5 Gb/s to 5.0 Gb/s – allowing tasks to be accomplished in a much shorter time.

58.6%CPU Power Savings with ASUS EPU
The ASUS-developed EPU is the first hardware-based on-demand power saving IC controller. This new generation automatic energy saving chip utilizes an innovative hybrid power technology to digitally monitor and fine-tune the CPU power supply with improved VRM efficiency in heavy or light loadings – automatically providing more power for higher performance and saving up to 58.6% CPU power when the PC is running low intensity applications.

15°C Cooler with New 8-phase Power Design
The revolutionary 8-phase Power Design of the P5E64 WS Professional is made with all solid capacitors for increased durability, lifespans and enhanced thermal capacity. This protects the CPU and power module from high power stress risks and provides stable voltage continuously even under heavy loadings. It also provides highly efficient operations with less heat – at least 15°C lower than other conventional 4-phase power designs.

Easy and Convenient Installations
Users will also enjoy the specially designed “extra” features that come with the P5E64 WS Professional workstation motherboard. With Q-Connector, users can connect and disconnect chassis front panel cables in one easy step utilizing just one complete module. This unique adapter eliminates the trouble of plugging in one cable at a time – making connections quick and accurate. Secondly, ASUS’ Q-Shield does without the usual "fingers" of traditional gaskets – making it convenient, easy and safe to install without the scratches and cuts like before. It also has better electric conductivity to ideally protect the motherboard against static electricity and shield users against harmful Electronic Magnetic Interference (EMI).
