ATI e Linux Aceleração 3d

Eu tenho uma ati9600xt 256mb e estou com linux fedora. instalei os drivers da ati, tudo ok. O unico problema é que não tenho aceleração 3d. Alguem tem ideia do que me falta fazer ??

tou na mesma situaçao soh k com o suse 9.0. nao tenho aceleraçao 3d, n consigo por em dual head (n mostra imagem) e fikei sem o scroll do rato.. lol

tou com uma ati radeon 9600pro 128mb... instalei os drivers na boa mas 3d nada

Eu a bola do rato tenho :D dual head n posso testar :P

Os da nvidia n davam tanto trabalho :die: :die:
 
voces quando instalaram o rpm da ati instalou tudo bem sem conflitos? se sim depois disso correram o fglrxconfig? se sim, activaram o AGP GART?

so mais uma coisa...façam glxgears na consola, esperem um pouco e vejam qts fps tem, depois façam glxinfo e vejam se tem Direct Rendering em Yes:)

um conselho de amigo que vos dou é que se querem ter rendering 3d a serio "invistam" no SuSE, eles têm RPM's das drivers da ATI próprias para o SuSE e eu tiro fps que nunca consegui tirar com red hat nem com mdk

quanto ao rato escavem bem as configuraçoes do fedora que há de ter um painel de controlo onde podem definir o tipo de rato que tem.

quanto ao rato escavem bem as configuraçoes do fedora que há de ter um painel de controlo onde podem definir o tipo de rato que tem.

Eu tive um conflito com o mesa opengl mas nas instruçoes dizia para --force a insalação. No glxgears os fps sao baixos por isso n tenho aceleração 3d.:005:

Esqueci-me de dizer k o direct rendering está a no :| . Sugestões plz :)

_freelancer_ eu tou a usar suse e instalei pelo rpm mm pro suse e tou sem aceleração 3d, e sem o scroll (o que vale é que o teclado tem scroll, mas mm assim n eh a mesma coisa)

se encontrares esse tutorialzito era bem vindo.. qq das maneiras vou ver se encontro qq coisa

precisam de ter o agpgart no kernel:
ou compilam o kernel com esse modulo, ou entao tentem com:

$ insmod agpgart

com o $ lsmod

podem ver se foi carregado ou nao.

Se for uma board com nforce têm que carregar tb o modulo ke se chama algo do genero nvidia-agp.

depois no fglrxconfig se for uma nforce metem na pergunta "use internal agpgart?" N

Caso contrario metam Y (so testei em kt400).

Seja como for procurem nas vossas distribuiçoes em forums ou toturials informaçoes pq eu so fiz isso em slackware e no gentoo por isso nas outras nao sei.

No rh deve haver rpms com patches po kernel que se for preciso usem para ficarem com os modulos do agpgart.

seja como for metam aí o que aparece com:

cat /var/log/XF86_kkrkoisa.log | grep EE

Normalmente os problemas sao com o agpgart mas pode ser outro prob kkr.

Tb pode ser por nao haver ainda drivers da ati para 9600XT 256mb no linux, em tempos na conseguia por a minha 9800SE a funcionar por causa disso. É que os drivers detectam uma 9600Pro de 128mb, pode ser por isso. Tb podes mandar mail para a ati a expor o caso, pode ser que eles te ajudem.
