Novas versões dos clientes:
We've released new clients (v 6.20). For those running GPU clients (or other clients with an expiration deadline of August 2), please check these clients out.

Here's what's new in the 6.20 client.

* Added Forums to systray menu.
* Support cpu affinity by default, this is related to an nVidia problem and awaits core-side changes.
* Add additional parameters field in advanced preferences - no more shortcut editing!!!
* UNSTABLE_MACHINE count reset after a correctly finished WU, for long-running systems
* Open configuration dialog box when invalid settings detected
* Fixed core launch directory which caused auto-upgrades to fail if core was present in "Program Files"
* Added additional advanced config options to console clients
* Added MachineID selector in systray gui
* Client shows PRCG on results upload
* Passkey now validated for hex content
* Moved service installation to advanced config to prevent inadvertant use
* Log date and time when automatically attempting to upload results.
* Correctly restore system tray icon when shell (explorer.exe) crashes
* Significantly improved queueinfo
* Multiple copies of the client can no longer be started with the same "start in" dir
* Automatically increase packet limit to max size for results that are too large
* Failed uploads will be attempted again using alternative upload port (8080->80 and 80->8080)
* Removed spurious "benchmarking..." messages
* Added extra_parms support to console clients
* Extra parameters are validated at configuration and launch time. Invalid settings will force reconfiguration
* Fixed and updated service installation to allow use of working directories
* Added ATI FireStream 9170 detection
* Compressed Vista icon to reduce size of executable (saves ~ 200kb)
* Updated MyFolding.html to match folding.stanford.edu style

Console client only zip file (with Windows-service-install option). Remove any existing FAH services made with pre 6.20 clients before updating.

Boas:
Tive uns problemas a correr o primeiro cliente SMP (deino), cheguei a ter tudo configurado, mas quando estava instalar o core um dava erro, e suspendia actividade.
Acabei por instalar o 2º cliente, sem problemas, à excepção da flag -smp, devia ter visto este topico antes.

Também tenho estado com muitos problemas com as novas updates do cliente SMP!!!
O cliente 6.22 é realmente um grande passo atrás, é muitissimo mais instável do que o 5.91/92!!!
No meu caso, tenho estado a perder quase metade das WUs, tanto ao inicio, como de uma forma muito irritante no final da WU's (aos 100%). - Acaba a WU, não envia, e o cliente para, depois no reinicio, não reconhece nenhuma WU - O chamado "ACK error"
Stanford reconhece a existência desse problema, e está a trabalhar no assunto, no entanto a solução pode ter aparecido ontem, com a beta 3:

Desinstalei todos os Clientes Win SMP, apaguei tudo, e instalei esses clientes (6.22B3) de raiz, e até agora parece-me tudo OK.
Pena é que já perdi mais de 6 WU's com 100%, e pelo menos uma dúzia deu EUE's.
Também podes voltar a instalar os clientes 5.92, com o timing beta extendido:

Esse tipo de erro parece resultar de um erro ACK, ou de um erro de core, pelo que para o resolver deve-se:

1. Substituir o Cliente 6,22R2B2 pelo 6,22R2B3
2.Também é necessário apagar a folder WORK, os ficheiros queue.dat, unit.inf e as de log
3. Fazer de novo install.bat como admnistrador

Desinstalar totalmente o Cliente SMP
Reverter para o cliente 5.92, com o prazo de beta extendido (link anterior)

eu tb estou com esse problema mas estou a foldar com o gpu com a ver 6.20.
 
É problema dos servidores.

Pelo que estavam a dizer nos fórums oficiais, faltou a luz em Stamford, mas já tinha voltado e os servers devem ficar online entretanto.
 
acabei de formatar o pc e meti o cliente 6.20 mas cada vez que tento abrir o modo gráfico, este crasha, alguem sabe o que se passa, ou como resolver isto?
 
Acabei de instalar o cliente 6.22 beta Win 32 v 64 bit (smp) e vejo que só me utiliza 50% do processador.
Alguém sabe como meter a correr a full?

Não tenho a certeza daquilo que estou a escrever,
mas julgo que nos processadores quad core tenhas que por a correr 2 consolas SMP para utilizar os 100%.

O que é essa parte do SMP? Desculpem mas sou novo nisto :S O meu PC tambem so ta a usar metade da capacidade do processador, ajudem sff :S

Sempre que vou a ver o desempenho e isso tudo aparece 50 / 51 %... tenho que fazer download desse client?
Qual o cliente de que tenho que fazer download para usar 100% da capacidade do processador e o máximo possível pra foldar? por favor respondam rápido.
