Isto foi polémico e o Tom do amdzone.com está "pegado" com ele.
Opiniões anyone?
Eu acho que o Darek tem razão, pelo menos para quem vive nos US.

It All Adds Up - Pentium 4 is now the better choice over the AMD Athlon
Playing sleazy marketing games with the numbers. Missing ship dates again and again. Repeating past mistakes. Being the last to switch to new technology. Betting everything one type of memory. No longer having a price advantage. It's all bad news for AMD for the next while.
Do you see now how AMD has turned itself into Intel of 18 months ago? It is now in 2nd place again. It is playing catch up. It's resorting to bizarre marketing instead of shipping products on time. And that's never been a good thing when Intel did that. Or for that matter when AMD did that in the past with the marketing of the K6 processor.
The worst part for AMD about this whole mess is the bad timing. The economic depression last year stopped a lot of people from buying new hardware, causing a huge 80% price drop in some PC systems. AMD is too small to weather such a storm as easily as Intel.
Now that the economy is starting to pick up, people will start buying PCs again, especially since we're coming up on 3 years since the last big Y2K-fueled buying frenzy. People will be replacing those Y2K machines soon, and if AMD keeps up the high prices on the Athlon XP while delivering 2nd place performance, I can't see this being a good thing for them.
The Hammer is supposedly the Pentium 4-killing .13 micron faster-than-Athlon 64-bit screamer, but where is it??? If it doesn't ship this year, soon, AMD will miss the crucial Y2K replacement wave and miss this year's potentially huge Christmas shopping season.
