Boas,
Alguem sabe dizer como se vê a compatibilidade entre os portateis e os leitores/gravadores de cds/dvds? É que havendo tanta oferta quer de um quer de outro, e com tantos modelos, e respectivas baías, diferentes, como é que se estabelece a compatibilidade?
Existe alguma tabela ou quê?

posso estar enganado mas isso é standard ... basta comprares um e mete-lo no sitio ...

podes sempre consultar o fabricante para ver dados especificos ...

O meu irmão andou á procura de uma unidade DVD para o portatil, mas não levou o portatil, e o tipo da loja disse que tinha que ver primeiro se era compativel. Após isso, ele levou o portatil e o homem instalou e ficou porreiro. Mas eu fiquei a pensar naquilo.
Mais tarde, um amigo meu encomendou um leitor pela net, e disseram-lhe que "normalmente" não há incompatibilidades entre a marca da unidade que ele pretendia e o portatil... mas dizer "normalmente" não há, significa que eventualmente poderá não ser compatível.
Isso ainda me deixou mais intrigado. Procurei no google documentação sobre o tema mas é escassa e inconclusiva. Os próprios tecnicos ficam na duvida. No entanto, as marcas tb não falam nisso.
 
alguns portateis muito antigos eram diferentes .. mas hoje em dia .. e da uns 7/8 anos para cá é tudo igual

Isto foi a resposta a um pedido de informação sobre compatibilidade Portatil-DVDRW directamente ao fabricante da drive, há 4 dias atrás.

Thank you for your request.

First of all, please check whether your Notebook has the standartized
50 pins Slimline Drive interface for Slimline Drives.

The next point is that the notebook must have two ide-channels
available: Primary IDE-Channel and Secondary IDE-Channel.
On notebooks with only one IDE-Channel this is very difficult
that the ND-6xx0a/ND-75xxa/AD Series works.

The last point is that the notebook or the IDE-Controller
supports the "Inverse Cable Select" Standard.
If it is not supported, then the ND-6xx0a/ND-75xxa/AD Series can not be used
with the notebook.

Please note that the ND-Series of Slimline DVD Writers
were also offered from the most Notebook-Manufacturers
(as like: Dell, HP, Fujitsu-Siemens and so on) as OEM Drives.
Therefore you can also ask your Notebook-Manufacturer,
whetere he offers the ND-6xx0a/ND-75xxa/AD Series as a Compatible
Drive for your Notebook.

Also you can contact the manufacturer of the notebook
to get this kind of informations and also to ask
whether the ND-6xx0a/ND-75xxa/AD Series is compatible."
