Compiz Fusion

Barra Titulo desapareceu

Boas..
Estou a iniciar-me com Linux, distro UBUNTU 7.04..

Andava a experimentar utilizar o beryl, mas como não corria no meu PC, ficava o ecrã branco tive de o desinstalar..
Removi-o pelo Synaptic..

Só que agora as janelas perderam a Barra de Titulo e não conseguiu po-la a aparecer..
O gestor de janelas não existe, e não sei qual o pacote de dados respectivo..

Podiam ajudar a resolver o problema..

Outra questão, Beryl com uma Riva TNT2 M64 não funciona pois não? Já tentei com os drivers da nvidia, com os do ubuntu e o máximo que consegui foi um ecrã branco quando o activava.

Boas eu estou a usar o compiz antigamente com xgl e drivers ati e agora estou a experimentar as drivers opensource/aixgl e uma coisa que reparei foi a perda de qualidade quando por exempo ponho o cubo a rodar, as arestas por exemplo nao sao tao direitas e aparecem pixeis brancos as vezes...
estes drivers tem a vantagem do aixgl e de rodar tudo direitinho (com os xgl havia jogos por exemplo que ficavam com as imagens todas distorcidas e tinha que mudar de sessao) mas a perda de qualidade é imensa!
será que tenho alguma coisa mal configurada?

Estou a usar o ubuntu 7.10, tentei instalar o compiz fusion, mas quando faço o compiz -- replace dá-me o seguinte erro :

/usr/bin/compiz.real (core) - Error: dlsym: /usr/lib/compiz/libccp.so: undefined symbol: getCompPluginInfo20070830
/usr/bin/compiz.real (core) - Error: Couldn't load plugin 'ccp'



alguem tem ideia de qual possa ser o problema?

EDIT : Ah, o meu sistema tem uma placa gráfica intel, 965 (por isso é que tenho o 7.10, porque o 7.04 não havia maneira de conseguir por o X a funcionar)

Não deu erro nenhum durante a instalação nem aparece nenhum outro erro antes desse?
Normalmente se não consegue carregar um plugin é porque ele lá não está, se não lá está é porque te falta instalar alguma coisa ou porque o que instalaste, não ficou bem instalado.
 
É estranho, porque se eu iniciar o compiz dá-me o erro, mas consigo ter transparencias nos menus, no entanto fico sem as barras de titulo das janelas, estranho...
 
Beryl & ATI Radeon X1250

Boas... andei a seguir alguns tutoriais para instalar o beryl no meu ubuntu...
mas nao consigo.. quer dizer, esta instalado mas quando o inicio fica tudo branco... se me meter a mexer <as cegas> consigo ver por exemplo um efeito que escolhi que e o fogo para quando se fecha uma janela...

Alguem sabe porque razao nao consigo visualizar nada?

A grafica e uma ATI Radeon X1250 e e' onboard na minha board abit Fatal1ty F i90HD...

Possivelmente será da tua placa. As ATI dão mts dores de cabeça. Mas espera por uma resposta mais detalhada aqui no forum.
já agora instalaste o beryl ou compiz fusion?o segundo é a versão mais recente

Se calhar era boa ideia tentares com o Compiz-Fusion, uma vez que o Beryl está descontinuado.
 
pois mas e estranho.. porque instalei e tal depois corri o beryl e ficou tudo branco mas esta a funcionar porque se tiver uma janela aberta (nao vejo pk o ecran ta todo branco mas sei que esta aberta lol) e carregar alt + f4 para a fechar aparece o efeito do fogo que escolhi para aparecer quando fecho janelas... mas aparece muito mal, sem qualidade....

Se alguem ja tiver tido o mm problema e ter resolvido diga qq coisa sff :)
 
Actualizações do compiz fusion

Boas pessoal,

No outro dia havia um update do compiz fusion ao que prontamente fiz o download e instalei. Depois de fazer o replace no terminal os efeitos deixaram de funcionar. O cubo n rodava etc.

Hoje instalei um novo update e agora já está tudo a funcionar. O problema é que do nada, quando estou a rodar o cubo, ou a utilizar outro efeito qq do compiz, o ubuntu reinicia-me a sessão sem dar qq erro. Se n carregar o compiz ele n crasha, daí ter a certeza que o problema é do compiz e começou a aparecer com as actualizações.

Estou um bocado à nora, alguém tem alguma ideia do que se esteja a passar?

Tenho o feisty fawn e uma ATI 9700. Se precisarem de mais alguma informação, é só pedirem.

Experimenta correr o compiz através de consola, pode ser que obtenhas os erros. Ou então faz o output do compiz para um ficheiro de texto, assim, mesmo que o X crashe, sempre podes consultar o ficheiro com a info.

Aqui nem corri o emerald pra tentar simplificar, mas obviamente alguma coisa não está bem aqui. Apesar das mensagens de erro, o compiz parece estar a funcionar, mas se começar a usar vários efeitos, ele reinicia a sessão sem qq aviso.

EDIT2:
Bem, tive a googlar e descobri aqui http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=3314156 uma possivel solução que seria alterar o backend do compiz. Eu realmente andei lá a mexer e tinha alterado para a 2ª opção. Voltei pró "flat" e aparentemente já não crasha, embora os erros ao iniciar o compiz pelo terminal permaneçam.

Agradeço ao Nabais por me ter apontado na direcção correcta, apesar de ainda não estar 100% convencido que isto está como deve ser. Acho que estes últimos updates do compiz tornaram-no mais instável do que estava anteriormente. Espero que para a próxima versão estas questões de estabilidade já estejam resolvidas.

EDIT3:
O X já n crasha, mas agora tou com problemas de refrescamento da imagem... Cada vez que abro uma janela, tenho que a fechar e voltar a abrir para ver o que ela lá tem. Com o outro backend n tinha este problema, mas o X crashava :|



Já não sei o que fazer, alguém tem ideias?

Troquei o theme do emerald por outro e já funciona bem :| Devia ser alguma incompatibilidade com o modo de rendering do tema que eu tinha...

Fico contente que esteja tudo resolvido :) Fazer esse método já me ajudou muitas vezes a resolver coisas que não têm lógica, se formos a ver apenas o modo gráfico ;)

Compiz Fusion 0.6.0

A versão 0.6.0 do Compiz Fusion, o resultado da fusão entre os plugins Compiz Extra e o Beryl, foi oficialmente lançada. Este lançamento deve ser usada com o Compiz 0.6.2.

Nesta nova versão, as maiores novidades parecem ser a actualização das traduções e as correcções dos erros detectados na versão 0.5.2. O download e respectivas instruções de instalação podem ser encontradas aqui.
