Computex 07: Here is how it looks today
As the show officially starts tomorrow, we wanted to share a few pictures how it actually looks today. Everything is in ruins and the show took its first casualty.

Booth babes and hardware are getting ready as all should open 9.00 AM Tuesday or 3AM Central European time so there should be plenty to read when you guys wake up. If you are in California that means 6 PM Monday night. Here is Lars standing in the ruins of what will tomorrow be a busy passage surrounded by booths and we can confirm that he is not responsible for all this garbage.

comp07.jpg

Nvidia won’t have a booth as usual but many of its partners will. There will be a few focuses, like P35, P38, G33 and bunch of DDR3 memory and a lot of Radeon HD2600 and 2400 cards.

Below are the first casualties of the show.

Gigabyte RD790 runs four graphics cards

Computex 07: Four Radeon HD2600XT inside, pictured

Gigabyte is the first to jump the guns with RD790 chipset and there will be a few live demos at the show. The chipset has been sampling since Cebit but this will be the first live demo of it.

Gigabyte brands its board as GA-M790-DQ6 with four yet to be announced Radeon HD 2600XT with 256 MB 128 bit memory and passive cooling.

These cards will launch in July at least officially. The motherboard itself supports Athlon AM2+ CPUs and Agena – Phenom X series m four DDR2 and a cheap aluminum , copper painted silent pipe cooling.

you can only get four single slot cards inside and if you use four there will work at 8X mode. Its good to see two PCI slots on the board and six SATA ports.

Here are a few pictures of the board and the system running with the board.

Ja imaginaram um quad crossfire de 2900XT????

G31 integrated board pictured
Computex 07: GMA 3100 is the name

Gigabyte has another surprise. We snapped a picture of a G31 motherboard, a cheaper version of the G33 chipset that will take away a low end integrated market.

It is nothing exciting but it will be cheapo integrated board with Vista premium logo sticker. It supports DDR2 800, a single PCIe 16X, two PCI slots and 4X PCI.

Intel will call this graphics Graphic Media Accelerator GMA 3100 and the boards should start shipping shortly.

The official name is GA-G31MX-S2.

Corsair DDR3 1333 pictured, 1600 coming

Computex 07: At Tweak town booth

We had a chance to spend a few minutes with a Corsair’s latest DDR3 1333 MHz memory with CL 9-9-9-24 timings.

This memory is suppose to show its face really soon and it looks good in silver. It can probably overclock like cray as we heard that these modules should go over 2000 MHz. There will be a DDR3 1600 memory coming at CL10 coming at later date, but that one will take some time.

Here is how it looks.

X38 chipset displayed all over

Computex 07: Gigabyte shows the board off

Everyone at the show will have a X38 chipset displayed and this will be a first Intel to officially support DDR3 – 1333. The other cool thing is that the chipset supports PCIe 2.0 standard that will provide up to 300W for graphics and we kind of need this already.

Gigabyte GA-X38T-DQ6 is the first board we’ve seen and it will start shipping late summer. It will support 45 nanometer CPUs and FSB 1333 ones that will launch tomorrow.

The board has sort of copper heatpype cooling and it supports DDR3 1600 as well. It has two PCIe 2.0 slots two PCI and three PCIe 1X. It has total of six SATA slots, dual Lan. The board should launch in Q3 so August to September time but we still didn’t get the exact date.

Zalman has 3D display

Computex 07: Should be ready for October

We had a chance to try Zalman’s new 3D monitor. It is really improvement from the previous 3D monitors. The monitor will come in 19, 22 and 24 inch flavors and it ships with a nice a light 3D filter glasses.

We looked at it for a while and after the eyes adjust it really looks nice. We don’t know the price but they won't be cheap.

Gecube's new Gemini pixelized

Dual 2600 XT in Technicolor

Our colleagues over at Tweaktown managed to get an exclusive picture of the new Gemini Radeon 2600XT card from Gecube.

Information about the card specifications are sparse, and all available information are from the picture of the card. With Computex around the corner more information about this dual GPU will be available soon. As for what can be seen on the picture, it's a dual slot solution, with massive copper cooler and has four DVI connectors. Dual GPU equals double the fun with DVI connectors.

hd2600gemini2.jpg

Cards clocks remains a mystery for now, and we all hope that Gecube managed to push it up to at least reference speeds, maybe even higher. All will be revealed on Computex. You can find the original article on Tweaktown.

Só é interessante pelos 1000 mhz, porque do resto, sendo um IGP não era de esperar grande performance...

Mas isso com promy vai aos 2000 :D

GIGABYTE goes Intel X38 Bearlake crazy.

Intel hasn't officially released the successor to its range-topping i975X chipset. That fact seems to have been conveniently ignored by motherboard partners when outfitting their respective stands a day before COMPUTEX 2007 officially starts.

Take GIGABYTE as an example. Its stand is littered with Bearlake motherboards. The ones that caught our attention were the X38 series, designed as a high-end chipset to complement Intel's upcoming Penryn CPUs. X38 will feature dual x16 PCIe electrical and PCIe 2.0 support, for starters.

IMG_0348.jpg

There doesn't appear to be a great deal of difference between the GA-X38-DQ6 (very top) and GA-X38T-DQ6 (above). Both feature the X38 MCH and ICH9R southbridge. However, on closer inspection, the non-T model will support ubiquitous DDR2, whilst the 'T' variant will provide out-of-the-box DDR3-1600 compatibility for increased bandwidth and performance.

(...)

No word on pricing or availability. GIGABYTE's specification, though, did allude dual Gigabit LAN with teaming. I'm sure NVIDIA will be happy.

Abit to make the best X38 Bearlake mobo?

Abit has also been one to jump on the Bearlake X38 bandwagon by showcasing its IX38 QuadGT motherboard.

IMG_0361.jpg

It's easy for most companies to create mock-up models of a chipset that's not due to be released for a while, we suppose, but abit assures us that the mass-production model won't differ massively from what you see above.

If the AB9 QuadGT's overclocking prowess is anything to go by, the IX38 variant will do well.

abit's choice of cooling solution - heatpipes appear to be the best bet - and, going by the sample, use of DDR2 makes for an interesting board.

Again, no word on price or availability. Our hope is that abit can deliver it to market at the same time as its competitors do; it needs to, judging from certain rumours coming out of Taipei.

ASUS to showcase mobo with integrated memory heatspreaders

ASUS had something to hide from nosy press on the pre-show day.

Lurking underneath the bubble-wrap was an Intel Bearlake-based motherboard with a difference.

IMG_0378.jpg

Now, take a look at the integrated heatspreaders heading off down to the DIMM slots. They've been engineered and pre-fitted by ASUS on the P5K3 Premium motherboard.

IMG_0377.jpg

Taking it a further step, pre-fitted heatspreaders denotes pre-installed memory - DDR3, most likely - that's bundled in with the board.

We guess it makes sense to the consumer and takes the guesswork out of the buying decision, especially with DDR3 modules being relatively scarce. The question is, we suppose, how ASUS' DRAM partners will react to a one-stop solution from the motherboard giant.

Just add CPU, graphics card and hard drive. Memory, it seems, is taken care of. Interesting to see if any other large manufacturers follow in the same vein.

Foxconn, maybe a maker of all things PC, but it certainly isn't known for its ultra desirable cases. This could change, given the fantastic looking concept chassis it was displaying on its stand.

If you look closely, it appears rough around the edges because it's currently handmade. However, we can't deny that the sleek minimalist look, akin to a lovechild of our favourite Lian Li & Cooler Master cases, is certainly a design that makes us want to own one.

Of the two, the second is unfortunately a bit of a let down to the first, being a bit too 'heavy' without the refinement, in our opinion.

There was no time/date or even anticipated price given as yet, but we'll keep pestering Foxconn for updates for you, you can be sure of that.

pessoal aqui esta a prova que em eventos como este tb ha divertimento

FUGGER beats Fatal1ty

I started off on a seven to nothing run and Johnathan could not believe that I was pwning him like a noob in grade school.

1.jpg

Once he was pissed I kept taunting him, each kill I was making wise cracks to piss him off, it was working.

2.jpg

Here is one of the pics when I was heckling his style, I asked if he needed help or a diaper. Someone had to put him in his place.

3.jpg

In the middle of the match he got up and said some heated words after I made yo momma joke that set him off.

4.jpg

He had the nerve to call me a cheater and I got back in his face.

5.jpg

He crossed the line and I took the first swing but he is faster than he looks and missed.

6.jpg

He knew I meant business and tried to run off but I got in a good whack to the back of the head and down he went.

7.jpg

I ran off the stage after him with a bionic elbow nearly from nearly seven feet off the ground.

9.jpg

He mummered what I think was an apology but it was too late, the bomb was inbound.

10.jpg

Security escorted me out but Crotale was kind enough to get my cash, I was a winner.

11.jpg

Thanks Abit, sorry about the blood on the carpet.

O Thermaltake DuOrb mede 180,5 x 98,5 x 30 mm e pesa 324 gramas.

THERMALTAKE WAS BRIMMING with new stuff, from huge power supplies to cases, and of course new heatsink/fans. All of them stood out for one reason or other.
Dual_Orb_VGA.jpg

The first new ones are the Dual Orb series of coolers. These are very similar to the tried and true Thermaltake Orb coolers, but there are two of them. Each orb connects to a common base via heatpipes. Above is the Dual Orb VGA cooler, below the Dual Orb CPU cooler.
Dual_Orb_CPU.jpg

Another odd creation is the V1 Ram Cooler, quite similar in concept to the OCZ Reaper. It's a cooler that clamps onto RAM and pulls the heat away with a heat pipe to a vaned heatsink above the memory. I can't see this being necessary but it sure looks neat.
Thermaltake_V1_Ram_Cooler.jpg

Last up we have a new part in the Xaser line of cases, this one called the Xaser VI, quite possibly because it is the sixth case to bare the name. I could not open it up, but from the outside, you notice two things.
Thermaltake_Xaser_VI.jpg

First off, there is an exposed USB and other port module on the top of the case. This is quite handy, especially in the location that Thermaltake has it. The other nice external touch? 11 5.25 inch drive bays lining the entire front panel.
None of these products are going to change the world, they are all cute variants on what already exists, but look to be well put together and are easy on the eyes. What more can you ask for? µ
