Following a triumphant showing at last year's E3, Cyberpunk 2077 will be appearing once again at E3 2019 this June, which hopefully means some more gameplay and other exciting announcements. Perhaps - dare we say it - there might even be a release date. Who knows?
Whatever the case, CD Projekt RED will be in attendance at E3 this year, and will be bringing their ambitious first-person sci-fi RPG based on the pen-and-paper RPG by Mike Pondsmith, to Los Angeles this summer. And we can't wait to see more.
With developer CD Projekt RED aiming to deliver Red Dead Redemption II levels of polish in Cyberpunk 2077, you can colour us excited. Cyberpunk 2077 has yet to be given a release date, but will apparently be coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Watch this space.
CD Projekt Red revealed in a recent interview that Cyberpunk 2077 won't have 'Game Over' screens when it comes to missions or quests.
Philip Webber, who is the game's quest designer, revealed to GameStar that when players take on the various missions that will be available in the game, they won't be punished with a 'Game Over' screen for messing it up. It's ok if a player decides to stray from the main path because the game has been crafted to accommodate around the player's choice.
Webber revealed that when developing the game the team would always ask "What is the stupidest thing that the player could do?" With that in mind, they'd craft the missions to be prepared for as much as possible when it comes to the unpredictableness of the player and for that reason, you'll never find yourself getting a 'Game Over' screen on a mission.
The only kind of 'Game Over' screen that the player should expect to see in the game is the one to signify that your character has died. But if it comes to a mission where you're supposed to protect a client and unfortunately they somehow die, well you'll be all good as the game just continues on and adapts around you.
