Multiplataforma Destiny 2 (Bungie)

Activision Blizzard made over $3.6 billion from in-game content sales in 2016

Seria importante alguem responder á tua pergunta...

Destiny Characters Will Reset In Destiny 2, Bungie Confirms

The upcoming Destiny 2 will be a total reset for your Destiny 1 characters, Bungie said today, confirming that you won’t be able to carry over weapons and gear from the first game. Your character’s appearance, however, will be retained.

“Sequels represent the start of a new adventure for every player, with new worlds to explore, new stories to tell, new powers to acquire, new loot to earn, and much more,” Bungie said on their blog today. “This led us to a decision that would enable us to serve both the game and the player’s best interests: Destiny 1 power, possessions, and Eververse-related items and currency will not carry forward. They will, however, remain accessible to you in Destiny 1.”

News of Destiny 2's character reset shouldn’t come as a surprise to hardcore Destiny fans. In September, we reported that Bungie is looking at Destiny 2 as a fresh start for their shooter-MMO series, and that this strategy will mean leaving your old characters behind. It is undeniably the best move for what has become a somewhat stale game over the past year thanks to skewed weapon balance and a lack of new content. Although Bungie originally marketed Destiny as a game with a “ten-year plan” in which your characters would remain with you for an entire decade, most fans would agree: It’s time for something new.

“We know that, just like us, you have grown fond of the Guardians you’ve created, so we do plan to preserve your character personalization,” Bungie said. “We are going to recognize the dedication and passion you’ve shown for this world. Specifically, the class, race, gender, face, hair, and marking selections for all characters that have achieved Level 20 and completed the Black Garden story mission will carry forward. We also plan to award those veteran accounts with honors that reflect your Destiny 1 accomplishments.”

Bungie says they’ll also be revealing more information on the big Destiny 1 spring update over the next few weeks.

1.Bungie will evolve its universe to make it feel more populated than in Destiny. That’s going to mean quests that are more interesting than the current patrol missions, and areas that are far more populated, particularly the hub areas.

2. Following the mess that Bungie made of Destiny’s story, which it turned around to some degree in the subsequent expansions, you can bet the studio won’t want to make the same mistakes. Expect a tighter narrative which will hopefully have less plot holes than the original. Bungie is obviously serious about the Destiny 2 story because its hired Mass Effect writer Christopher Shlerf. Publisher Activision has also mentioned that a “cinematic story” will be one of the main highlights.

3. Your current Destiny character will be carried over to Destiny 2. By this, Bungie means that personalization of your Guardian, in terms of the way it looks, its race and class only.

4. Your current Destiny character will lose all of his current items. In Destiny 2 he will be reset, so you won’t be able to access your current gear, weapons or Eververse items that you paid for. This also includes your level. Your level will be reset to zero.

5. In the lead up to the Destiny 2 release date, current players in Destiny can enjoy one final live event called Age of Triumph which looks likely to set up the Destiny 2 release nicely. It’s heavily rumoured that the Destiny 2 release will be at the end of August or early September. This ties in nicely with the conclusion of Daybreak.

As has become an annual Bungie tradition, a retailer has leaked info on the next big Destiny release. It’s not much, but here’s your first look at the marketing materials for Destiny 2, a video game that we will no doubt come up with all sorts of pithy ways to describe over the next few years.

And, yes, it’s real. We hear Bungie plans to announce Destiny 2 today.

The above poster, leaked by an Italian retailer, hints at an upcoming beta. A second leaked poster with the same key art promises that the game will be out on Friday, September 8, although that may only be the European release. (Often, games come out in North America on Tuesday and then in Europe on Friday.) Both posters show three helmet-less humans, one of whom is holding what appears to be a Suros-branded shotgun.

Bungie did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

@ nKramerPT
Pois 2 horas ainda arranjo agora 4..
