Media Molecule has confirmed that Dreams Creator Early Access will be updated soon with a variety of new features, including additional Dreamiverse options, a level cap raise, and more.
Among the new Dreamiverse options will be the ability to block other users, while the level cap will be boosted to over 100. A number of added tutorials and templates, extra assets to play with and more besides are also lined up for the forthcoming update.
Dreams Creator Early Access went live on 16th April, and has already seen a glut of user-created content hitting the servers. The full, finished product is set to arrive exclusively for PlayStation 4 later in 2019.
Media Molecule is planning to release the first Dreams Early Access patch tomorrow, adding the new 'Ancient Times' art assets with "adorable new characters" and new items with which to create lovely scenes. A 'What's New?' menu option in the Dreamiverse menu will also be implemented, so you can browse new Mm content as it's added.
An 'Ancient Times' Community Jam will also be kicking off from 11th June, while the Mm Arcade will be receiving two new games - the coin-collecting frenzy that is Combo Crush, and 'fan-favourite' Comic Sands, created during a Mm Train Jam in 2018. Multi-part imp quests are also available, giving you cute new imps as a reward for your creativity.
The upcoming patch also promises bug fixes, improvements and some polish for the Dreamiverse, as well as more options for AutoSurf and cover pages, the ability to block other users, and list or de-list creations from search. You'll also be able to replay intro levels via the Mm Showcase, and customise the time before prompts pop up.
Further Early Access updates for Dreams will be arriving on a more frequent basis, with smaller changes and tweaks dropping between major content releases. Among the upcoming updates are "improvements to sorting, discoverability, and more," Media Molecule states in a post on the PS Blog.
The first Early Access patch for Dreams will be arriving on PS4 on Thursday 6th June.
