We have received many messages (like the one above) coming from people a bit concerned about the progress of the project.
We have indeed deliberately decided not to communicate too much about it and hope that those who have shown their interest will accept our apologies.

The first reason is that we wanted to communicate about facts and figures rather than promises. The availability date and the final price could have been disclosed only once all necessary tests and fine-tunings had been performed.

The second reason is that we managed a good exposure for our website due to the viral effect. By providing a limited amount of information, the “community” shared the ownership and contributed to the fullness of the message by multiple postings about Linutop.

Finally, the last reason is that we wanted to avoid an overwhelming situation over which we could not have control.

Now that Linutop is available, we will use this blog to communicate and share information on a more regular basis.
