EA Announces The Simpsons Game

The World’s Favorite Animated Family Comes To Consoles and Handhelds This Fall!

Redwood Shores, Calif., - May 9, 2007 – Electronic Arts Inc., (NASDAQ:ERTS) today announced the upcoming release of THE SIMPSONS GAME (working title). Created in partnership with Gracie Films and Twentieth Century Fox Television and Twentieth Century Fox Licensing and Merchandising, THE SIMPSONS GAME features a hilarious, sprawling, and mind-busting storyline crafted by the TV show’s Emmy Award-winning writers. The action-comedy will also feature the full cast of voice actors from the TV show who will reprise their roles for the game.

In THE SIMPSONS GAME, Homer, Marge, Bart, and Lisa use exciting, all-new powers to save the world from rising chaos. To help the Simpsons, gamers at home must journey through all of Springfield (as well as vast worlds beyond!), vanquish an amazing array of villains, and fight their way through parodies of multiple popular games.

“Our goal in developing THE SIMPSONS GAME is to create the most original game ever, which is a lofty goal and only possible given the close collaboration with

‘The Simpsons’ creative team,” said Scot Amos, Executive Producer of the project. “We’re also especially proud of the game’s warm visual feel, which captures – for the first time ever in a game – the look of the TV show.” Added Amos, “As Comic Book Guy says, ‘Best. Simpsons Game. Ever!’”

“The EA group was so enormously talented and beyond belief energetic that I am thinking of suing for second hand exhaustion,” said James L. Brooks, Executive Producer of “The Simpsons.”

Under development by EA’s Redwood Shores Studio, THE SIMPSONS GAME is scheduled for release in Fall 2007 for the PLAYSTATION®3, PlayStation®2, PSP® (PlayStation®Portable), Xbox 360™, Nintendo WiiÔ and Nintendo DS.

EA? Já não compro o jogo.

A Sierra e a Radical fizeram um trabalho lindo com o Simpsons Hit and Run, enquanto a EA não passou dos mediocre Simpsons Road Rage e Simpsons Skateboarding.

A 20Th Century Fox devia ter vegonha em apostar na EA.

A diferença é que neste basta aparecer o Homer a dizer "Oh you little... ergh" enquanto esgana o Bart que eu parto-me logo a rir

Mas pelo screen, parece estar "engraçadito" visualmente, vamos ver o resto.

Só tive três jogos dos Simpsons, já antigos, para NES e SNES...nenhum deles era bom logo, não estou com grandes expectativas em relação a este...já insultaram vezes demais a minha série favorita com jogos mal feitos.

como tu, tive um antigo, mas para a Master System... era o Bart vs. Space Mutants.. O jogo até que era viciante... mas muito dificl de passar... não sabia como passar um nivel e deixei me dele..

Os únicos jogos que se aproveitam dos simpsons foi o Arcade game e o Hit & Run. Acho que este está com muito bom aspecto, agora é ver o que dizem previews e fácilmente saberemos qual o valor do jogo.

Sei que é a EA mas tenham calma e esperemos para ver...

Duvido, o Simpsons anterior é um grande jogo, além disso é a EA que o está a fazer, o que, pessoalmente, é bom, o jogo está em boas mãos. E além disso o jogo não vai ser rushed para que coincida com o lançamento do filme, só vai ser lançado no lançamento do DVD, se fosse outra editora duvido que isto fosse acontecer.

- Close to an hour of cinematics
- 8000 lines of dialog to be voice by The Simpsons cast
- Game release will not coincide with the movie
- Storyline will center around getting sucked into a video game
- EA plans to mock their own titles
- One extra mini game was confirmed for the Wii version. You’ll be playing as Homer who will be in an eating contest. You’ll use the Wiimote as if it were a spoon
- The level shown off was round the World in 80 Bits. Homer eats a ton of food and becomes a giant ball to roll around
- There will be 16 “episodes” in the game
- You’ll be able to switch between two characters from the core Simpsons family, Maggie not included. Each family member will have different abilities (such as Bart turning into Bartman)
- Split screen co-op will be available
- Collecting will be a part of the game as well. In the demo, the level was filled with 25 Duff Beer caps to collect.
- Release is sometime this fall to coincide with DVD release of the upcoming movie

O hit and run e execelente parto-me a rir com as cenas do homer e assim o da master system tambem deu o vicio mas dps havia la um nivel que eu embarrava e nao joguei mais espero que este jogo seja tao bom omo o hit and run desconfio mas esperemos!
