I bought 2 EuroTech 1000 UPS about two years ago. One of them has died already in the most inconvenient way: the lights on the front indicate it is working normally, but when the power input fails, the power output also fails, instantly.
The software that comes with it is useless, it's just for Windows and there was no free/open-source equivalent. Earth to EuroTech: most servers don't run Windows, they run Linux.
I will never buy a EuroTech UPS again.
Indeed, seems they don't follow any standart so no freeware for it.
What brand have tou bought after?
I am interested in one I could monitore using Nagios, I had an idea to open it and attach an ESP8266 just to monitore when power fails but would prefer to have full data instead.
