Postei isto aqui porque de facto não há nenhum sitio correcto onde postar.

Today, FenOS is a multinational project under the direction of the System Architect and Software Engineer Ricardo Edhel Lara Romero (M.Sc. IT). The project is further supported by professionals and partners from all over the world.

The actual idea of developing FenOS arose from the vision to create from scratch a proper operating system that is capable of executing all kind of software applications natively, independent from its hardware architecture in order to eliminate the incompatibility among the different operating systems.

Once the vision was technically approved by the development of the first functional prototype the project team started to realize usability- and market-studies, to create and to design the brand “FenOS” and of course to bring forward the development of FenOS.

At present the development of the Exo Core Intelligent Operating System is about to be finished. Ricardo and his development team are currently executing the latest testings and applying improvements in term of usability and graphic interface. Thus, FenOS will be released in September 2014.

Se isto se tornar mesmo possivel o que iremos saber garantidamente em Setembro, isto será um novo conceito que irá revolucionar a forma como os sistemas operativos tem vindo a evoluir... Será mesmo real? ou apenas uma integração manhosa de virtual machines? A ver vamos...

Demasiado bom para ser verdade mas vamos esperar para ver

Isso é um scam, sem ter de pensar duas vezes.

A pagina não soa a legit, auto-repete-se e o unico screenshot (em miseravel resolução por sinal) utiliza dois temas diferentes ao mesmo tempo.
A primeira coisa que fazem é pedir pessoal para ser VIP e essas coisas, ou para fazer o pre-order por 50$... de um software que tem uma data milimetrica de release tendo em conta o trabalho que envolveria.
Algo tão bom, nem pagina na wikipedia tem...
Nestas coisas, a ultima coisa que preocuparia os devs seria os temas. (Ver ReactOS, Wine)
A quantidade de bibliotecas, api's, bindings e linguas que teriam que implementar, para serem eficientes envolveriam os engenheiros da Apple, MS e os gajos do FOSS durante uns anos a trabalharem juntos.

Se isto for verdade por algum motivo, eu aposto para um windows moddado que vai funcionar mal e porcamente, ou para um GNU/Linux com Wine (e o equivalente que está a ser desenvolvido para OS X) que já se sabe como funciona.

Parece ser um Linux manhoso com Wine e com mais qualquer coisa para correr as aplicações de Mac OS e Windows. Correr tudo nativamente é impossível, porque as arquitecturas dos três são demasiado diferentes para que isso possa acontecer. Se for de facto um emulador, não vai ter performance que eles chamam de "nativo", a não ser que (e agora estou a especular) que seja um kernel real time ou do género, em que os emuladores possam correr com alta prioridade. O que é demasiado improvável.
