Análise Gigabyte Odin GT 800W

em relaçao as fontes , se algumas duvidas ainda houvessem penso que foram totalmente desfeitas

para o pessoal que compra sistemas de topo, e mete uma fonte destas, acho que também não vão ser 200mb em 2 ou 4 gb que vão ser um problema por aí além...

afinal os 200mb so fazem falta, quando a memoria fica cheia.

A fonte parece-me ser muito porreira, de facto. e fico contente que não tenha passado pela cabeça da gigabyte aplicar à fonte as mesmas cores que aplicam às boards... duss, so de pensar...

Assim que entro po vista e abro o power tuner...cerca de 350w.
Já vi picos a mais de 400w nos loops de 3dmark06

Ainda agora tive de volta no cod2 (depois de finalmente acabar com os probs no vista com os drivers da nvidia em sli)

Parece que a gigabyte anda mesmo a fazer o trabalho de casa... :)
Como vos tinha dito sakei a versão beta 0.2 - http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/Support/ThermalSolution/Utility_DownloadFile.aspx?FileType=Utility&FileID=77

Nada mas mesmo nada a ver em termos de consumos do sistema...
Estou há cerca de 30m/1h a mexer no power tuner... recurso do sistema ocupado pelo mesmo - 10.5mb.... daki para + de 200mb :)

Ainda não tive tempo de ver probs com bugs!

btw: acho k ela vai adormecer ao puxar pelo meu e6600 (@ 3998) + p5w64ws pro + 2x 1gb gskil @ 888 4-4-3-4 + 3 discos (2xsata 2 e um PATA) um monte de fans e uma x1950pro com cooler thermalright para o Max oc....

When looking at the Gigabyte Odin GT 550W’s performance it is extremely hard to find anywhere it slips up. Its efficiency numbers are great, it has amazing voltage regulation and it keeps ripple to a minimum. Indeed, there are many things about this power supply that make us realize that Gigabyte put a lot of thought into nearly every aspect of this unit. The inclusion of monitoring software that actually gives proper readings is a revelation in itself and Gigabyte has managed to pack all these features into a relatively compact package. But why doesn’t all this translate into a Dam Good Award from us?

While almost every aspect of this power supply is near-perfect, the additional cost is centered around a monitoring suite that just has too many software bugs. True, if you intend to use it in fits and spurts without leaving it running in the background the Ptuner software is a great tool. It is both accurate and easily navigated even though we were not able to get the fan monitor sensor to work. On the other hand, the system resource usage is completely unacceptable to the point of it spiraling out of control. A program that hogs this much memory will have enthusiasts running towards the cheaper Odin Pro series faster than you can blink. Hopefully Gigabyte can fix this problem as well as the random crashes with a quick software update.

With the Odin GT 550W it all comes down to some very simple questions regarding what the consumer wants versus what the consumer needs. Without a doubt, this power supply carries a price premium because of the monitoring and control tools included with it and people will have to ask themselves if they really need all these bangs and whistles. At almost $150, the Odin GT 550W is expensive for a sub-600W power supply but if you want monitoring tools, this may be the way to go for you.

The great performance, long warranty and build quality are all positives but the software aspect needs a bit of work and it is this software that you are paying for with the GT-series. Thus, this power supply falls short of being a great product but nonetheless garners a 4 out of 5 rating.

Pros:
- Near-perfect voltage regulation
- Excellent efficiency
- Good ripple suppression
- A bucketload of features
- Near-silent operation

Cons:
- Price
- Buggy software

Tou maravilhado com esta Fonte no meu sistema tenho 2 bombas de aqua , [email protected], 4 gigas oczddr3 1600 5 discos, quad sli de 9800 gx2 6 fans um controlador da zalman placa de som da razer, e as voltagens da fonte simplesmente nao mexe brutal.
Claro que estive a ver sempre pelo multimetro.
