Multi Google STADIA - Tópico Oficial - Encerra em 01/2023

Google e hardware cheira-me a um potencial fail,tendo em conta como gerem o Pixel e Chromebook. Ou vai daí talvez não e esses são excepções.

Plot twist,aquilo nem era um jogo mas sim uma vertical slice. Pior foi quando receberam os devidos kits da PS4 e Xbox One e apanharam um susto. E como dedicar recursos extra ao PC para criar o produto mostrado anteriormente não era cost effective,lá decidiram ir sempre frente com a versão mais modesta de qualquer das maneiras e tornarem-se um meme.
 
Os estúdios deve ser representantes de editoras a dizer que apoiam o Projecto Stream. Apoio a hardware já não acredito muito porque as coisas ainda estão muito no ar.
Isso e pergunto-me se a Amy Henning está lá por a Google abrir um estúdio com ela a liderar. Como é que ninguém a caçou depois do fecho da Visceral passar-me ao lado...
 
All signs point to a Google game console announcement at GDC

Google's "future of gaming" event involves hardware for Project Stream.

There are two big pieces of evidence that this is a hardware announcement. First, Google is a heavily compartmentalized company, and the person promoting this event on Twitter is none other than Risk Osterloh, Google's senior vice president of Hardware. Osterloh is behind the division that brought us the Pixel phone, Google Home, and every other Google hardware product. His involvement is a solid sign that, yes, new hardware is coming.

The second big piece of evidence is that Google is also hosting a teaser page on store.google.com. The Google Store. The Google Hardware Store. Google could host a teaser page at any of its thousands of sub-domains, but for some mysterious reason, it picked the Google Store. The "Google Store" doesn't sell software—that would be "Google Play." The Google Store only sells hardware—things like smartphones and tablets and laptops and Google Home speakers. Soon, apparently, it will sell video game hardware.

Espero é que esse hardware não saia desfasado em Portugal. No pior dos casos, nunca chega a sair. Comprar um Pixel em Portugal é um tiro no pé, por exemplo, porque por causa de não sair oficialmente cá e ter de ser importado, acaba por ser absurdamente mais caro que a concorrência, mesmo que seja um bom telemóvel por si só. Espero que o mesmo não venha a acontecer com essa futura consola, e que a Google pense na importância dos lançamentos e suporte à escala global (algo que a Sony e a Nintendo perceberam, mas a Microsoft não necessariamente).
 
Google + Consumer acho que não tem por onde falhar.

Estimo sinceramente que entrem com força neste mercado e atirem um dos actuais players para as sombras. Até é um favor que fazem ao CEO do mesmo visto que só vê Enterprise, Enterprise e Enterprise à frente.

Quero acreditar que o Hardware será apenas para quem não terá um enquipamento na sala de estar compatível.
estou a contar com um serviço disponível na grande maioria de Smarttvs, Telemóveis, Tablets e PCs, sendo suportando por uma mera app e tudo o resto é Cloud.

Some Google thoughts as I fly to GDC:

1) Google has been funding games - maybe we'll see some tomorrow?
2) I think anyone buying the rumors of a high-end console might be disappointed. I expect the hardware to center on streaming. Maybe a dongle, or maybe..... just a controller

Did you guys notice the emphasis on "just a controller" there or was I too subtle?

It's a streaming platform. I don't think there's any console, despite all the rumors







Dreamcast spotted at one of the stands pushing Google's big reveal, along with the words "Anything you can dream can be built." I'm excited.

Parece estar a ficar giro... Gostava de estar lá :)

Podia ser só um comando mas acho que vai ser mais...

O arco com o S de streaming faz lembrar-me o Home. Pode ser o contorno/perfil da "consola".
