HP Elite x3

Por acaso também não gosto da barra de metal abaixo. Podia até ser assim, mas em preto se faz favor ...

Só estou com uma dúvida, pelas imagens não vejo onde possa estar o leitor de impressões digitais.

Tou a ver é que daqui para a frente é tudo de 5" para cima, só o 550 escapou.. se já me vejo aflito com o 925.. ainda ontem estive com o iPhone 4s nas mãos e aquilo é um prazer de manusear, tal como o 530 que tinha, que a nível de ergonomia, pecava apenas por escorregar com facilidade..

Talvez seja muito cedo ainda para pedir isto, mas espero que surjam alternativas mais pequenas, entre as 4" e as 4.7".

Parece-me que seja aquela zona saida do lado esquerdo que quase parece um botão.. Inicialmente parecia ser o botão de volume mas do lado direto já tem botões de volume.
Pode ser um sensor semelhante ao que têm em portateis
 
O sensor biométrico está ao lado da coluna, naqueles pontinhos que parece braille, esse efeito braille dá mais piada à coisa.
Eu gostei do design, é diferente. A zona inferior prateada, os pontinhos da coluna que se vão separando no lado direito e que se misturam com o sensor biométrico, o efeito braille do sensor biométrico, os bezels super pequenos... Para ser o smartphone perfeito só falta ter ecrã Amoled.

EDIT: Mudem o nome do tópico, este smartphone não tem 2GB de ram, mas sim 4GB e não tem 64GB de armazenamento, mas sim 32GB.
 
Cuidado com o AMOLED, é bonito sim senhor, mas começa a ganhar "fantasma", ou burn in com o tempo, mais ainda nos aparelhos com botões On Screen e no caso do Windows pode eventualmente começar a notar a discrepancia das riscas pretas entre as live tiles.

Fiquei traumatizado pq todos os aparelhos AMOLED que tive ganharam fantasma e jurei que nunca mais =(
O pior de todos foi um Smartwatch LG G Watch R, que devolvi ao fim de 2 semanas em que já se via as horas constantemente "queimadas" mesmo dentro dos menus.
 
Será que em tanto tempo que surgiu o Amoled ainda não resolveram essa característica? É um grande turn off para aquele que considero o melhor tipo de ecrã.

As specs confirmam-se.

E aparentemente só vai ser lançado lá para o meio/fim do verão.

E a qualidade parece ser o normal da HP, ou seja, nada assim de especial.

The HP Elite X3 is shaping up to be the most interesting and exciting Windows Phone since, well, ever. Earlier this morning, we passed along the latest specs for the high-end handset. Let's review them as there are some changes and additions. There is the 6-inch OLED screen featuring a 1440 x 2560 resolution. That works out to a pixel density of 490ppi. Under the hood is the Snapdragon 820 SoC, containing a quad-core CPU and the Adreno 530 GPU. 4GB of RAM is inside, along with 32GB/64GB of internal storage. Those seeking additional memory will be able to access a 200GB capacity microSD slot.

The Elite X3 will be equipped with Windows Hello (iris scanner) and a fingerprint scanner as well. There is support for Qi wireless charging and dual SIM capabilities. A 16MP camera is on the back and an 8MP front-facing snapper handles selfies. Included is a USB Type-C port, and the phone has an IP67 certification. That means it is protected from dust, and can be submerged in up to 3.2 feet of water for as long as 30 minutes.

Measuring just 7.8mm thick, the handset tips the scales at 190 grams, and the STD810 military MIL-rating means that the phone is protected from 1-foot drops. Windows 10 Mobile is pre-installed. And we have just learned that the Elite X3 will have a 4150mAh battery, keeping the generator humming for a long time.

Some new images of the handset have surfaced, and can be found in the slideshow. We should point out that the prototype that allegedly will be shown at MWC does not include the fingerprint scanner, even though the feature is still scheduled to be included on the production version of the phone. And with support for Continuum, the Excite X3 will drive a laptop called the Mobile Extender. This is a 12.5-inch screen with a built in battery and a QWERTY keyboard. The laptop connects to the phone via Wi-Fi or the USB-C port.

Can this one phone put a charge into a platform that has been moribund until now?

Este telemóvel é dedicada a um público empresarial e vai ter uma disponibilidade muito limitada para o público em geral, só deverá estar à venda nas lojas on-line da HP e Microsoft para quem realmente fizer questão de ter um.

Although HP is aiming this phone squarely (and solely) at businesses, yes, consumers will be able to buy it too.

Details are limited, but you should be able to purchase the phone direct through HP and even Microsoft, who will more than likely sell the phone through their online and physical retail stores.

At this time, there is no reason to expect traditional consumer retail chains or carriers to stock this phone. This lack of availability is a good thing as it means there is a lot less pressure from the consumer market on HP.

Não me parece que seja na zona inferior prateada... Vai ser na parte de trás, abaixo do led da câmara:
What kind of fingerprint sensor is it and why was it not on the demo units?
The fingerprint scanner I am told is the same type found in the current Nexus 6P, which has had very positive feedback (some have called it the best fingerprint reader available). If so, that means HP is sourcing the FPC1025 sensor developed by Fingerprint Cards AB. That sensor can read dry or wet fingerprints in 360-degrees, with a resolution of 508 dots per inch.

Interestingly, at this time, Windows 10 Mobile does not have the drivers to enable this feature, so HP is working with (and waiting on) Microsoft for those drivers at the OS level.

Finally, the Elite x3 prototypes were saw were some of the first ones made and there is still some final engineering to take place. The fingerprint scanner, when integrated, will be on the back below the camera.

O conceito de ligar continuum por wifi no portatil é muito interessante. Este é o caminho a seguir.
Estes "portateis" abaixo dos 100 euros era muito bom.
 
Este HP parece estar qualquer coisa fenomenal. Se tiver orçamento no próximo natal, vou ver, entre este e o surface phone, se vou dar o salto.

Uma coisa é certa, espero que saiam mais windows phones deste nível.

Pode ser que a plataforma não esteja assim tão 'morta'.
