"Increased productivity!" sounds like a battle cry many salarymen can live with. Thankfully, it's also the battle cry of Sony´s UK execs, who are seeing more PSPs sold in the UK as a result of their recent price cut.
Since taking £ 20 off, the PSP's price, there's been a resurgence in PSP buying, with a 60% increase in sales during the opening weekend. Accordingly, Sony's expecting the good fortune to keep on coming with the increase of PlayStation Portable units sold, especially with the arrival of new video games into the European market.
Said Andrew Howsen, Sony's sales director, of the recent turnaround, "The price realignment was about passing on manufacturing cost savings to customers. This new price point opens up a new wave of consumers to the PSP experience." As long as the good games keep on coming, let the good times roll.»
