Não é para servidores, porque tem um TDP estratosférico e provavelmente, como os outros W, estão limitados a 1 socket. Pelo W, seria para Workstations, mas a unica board que apresentam é uma ASUS ROG para Gamers, cheia de pirlim pim pins. Só que no mercado Gamer, ninguém precisa de 28 cores. Será para Overclocking? Com suporte ECC e RAS não faz grande sentido.
Isto a nível de branding é pior que o Titanic e é por isso que cheira a desespero.

Penso que vai acabar por ser um CPU de nicho, o campeão de vendas deverá ser o 9700K, agora também com 8 cores, mas sem HT. Por acaso estou curioso para ver como se vai portar em termos práticos face aos 6C/12T do 8700K.
