Processador Intel Skylake / Skylake-X (refresh)

Platforms supported
  • Intel® 200 Series Chipset Family SATA AHCI/RAID Controller
  • 7th generation Intel® Core™ Processor Family Platform I/O SATA AHCI/RAID Controller
  • Intel® 100 Series/C230 Series Chipset Family SATA AHCI/RAID Controller
  • 6th generation Intel® Core™ Processor Family Platform I/O SATA AHCI/RAID Controller
For Intel Platforms not supported above, visit the RAID version 14.8.0.

Novo microcodigo 9E.
Suporte para o "speed shift".
http://www.anandtech.com/show/9751/examining-intel-skylake-speed-shift-more-responsive-processors
"Compared to Speed Step / P-state transitions, Intel's new Speed Shift terminology, changes the game by having the operating system relinquish some or all control of the P-States, and handing that control off to the processor. This has a couple of noticable benefits. First, it is much faster for the processor to control the ramp up and down in frequency, compared to OS control. Second, the processor has much finer control over its states, allowing it to choose the most optimum performance level for a given task, and therefore using less energy as a result. Specific jumps in frequency are reduced to around 1ms with Speed Shift's CPU control from 20-30 ms on OS control, and going from an efficient power state to maximum performance can be done in around 35 ms, compared to around 100 ms with the legacy implementation."

https://rog.asus.com/forum/showthre...el-Speed-Shift&p=564458&viewfull=1#post564458
"Speed Shift is still being evaluated. It may or may not be made available. There are other issues on Intel's side that need ironing out first before implementing additional power saving features that bring little benefit to the table."

Entretanto no meu sistema win10/6600K/Asus M8H, com o SST ligado o windows/cpu-z/hwinfo agora mostram o cpu com o CLK/Vcore sempre no valor maximo. Portanto o SST nao está a funcionar bem aqui.

EDIT:
Tinha o High Performance power plan, com processor power management, min processor state = 5%.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/X86_virtualization
"vmx" stands for Virtual Machine Extensions, which adds ten new instructions: VMPTRLD, VMPTRST, VMCLEAR, VMREAD, VMWRITE, VMCALL, VMLAUNCH, VMRESUME, VMXOFF, and VMXON.[20] These instructions permit entering and exiting a virtual execution mode where the guest OS perceives itself as running with full privilege (ring 0), but the host OS remains protected.
