But back to the point: It seems nVidia has decided not to limit itself to the AMD chipset market anymore!
Indeed, nVidia is to release a chipset ( Crush - possibly Crush8000 ) for Transmetta's new processor, the TM8000.
The TM8000 is the newest baby of the financially failing Crusoe family of processors, Transmetta's only product from my understanding. Transmetta is losing over 4 times its revenue.
I truly wonder why nVidia is doing this. I don't know. The TM8000 does look fairly good on paper. But is it really a good idea to put resources in something unlikely to give a real financial result?
Unless they want to proof their worth a little bit more - it is, after all, well known that Intel prefers people who know how to do their thing...
