has anyone else here thought that having about 30 different wii games is strangly... boring???
i didint think this would happen, but the more games i get... the less i get into the game... and the more bored i get.
it seems like i cant take a single wii game seriously.
is anyone else experiencing this problem with their chipped wii?
Do you recall when you didn't have anything to pirate with and playing, let's say, an adventure game like Zelda? Do you also remember wanting to get every heart piece/secret sidequest etc.? Or back in the days, the Pokémon games, how you tried to collect all those Pokémon, wanting to fill up your Pokédex? If you download Pokémon Diamond now, I can assure you, you won't have as much fun as when you would have bought it.
Now that I've seen what piracy can cause on a gamers' behaviour, including my own, I don't think I'll resort to piracy when I get a next-gen console. I can't stand wasting such beautiful games and rushing through them, just because I can get pretty much every game for the console.
In my mind, it becomes a addiction....
I consider myself a "collector". I don't care what the title is, I grab it. Why? Because I can. And it makes my "collection" seem more complete.
Missed a DS release #? I don't think so.... Title in Japanese that I cannot even read? So what. Just in case I might play it.....
After a while you become numb with your choices of entertainment. And like others have said above me, only really steller and awesome titles get me to invest time in them anymore. I have a folder of Wii titles and only 3 has gotten significent play time... Wario, Zelda, and Sports. The rest? Sorry, but ports from other systems adapted to a Wiimote doesnt make the game good, in fact, on a couple of them, it makes the title worse.
What's really sad is that this collecting transcends to more than just myself. I have a 9 year old daughter who also has Zero patience for any level of difficulty in a game. As soon as she dies/wrecks/whatever she is resetting and selecting another title, disc, etc. There is no drive for her to even try.
Back when I was a child I MAYBE got a new nintendo game every other month for the NES and even if the game wasnt great, it was played as if it was a 11 out of a scale of 1-10. There is no longer any appreciation whatsoever.
Now, on the flipside of things.... Any of you ever finish a truly stellar title and while watching the credits, feel guilty?
E voces, "sentem" algo parecido?
