Marvel's Spider-Man debuted on PS4, some would-be players were upset about...puddles. But developer Insomniac Games has now let players frustrated about puddle size reimagine the game with as many puddles as they could want.
As part of today's new
Spider-Man PS4 updates, which include New Game Plus and an Ultimate difficulty, Photo Mode also saw the addition of new stickers and frames. And as part of those new options are puddles, as seen in the image below.

User Interface and User Experience Lead at Insomniac Games Gil Doron revealed the puddle stickers on
Twitter, amusingly saying "...And I fixed this for you" as one of the many new Spider-Man updates.
The arguments over puddles in Spider-Man were coming from online commenters claiming they thought Spider-Man's graphics had been downgraded from previous showings at events like E3. These comments came before those users could have played Spider-Man in full, but the initial tweets claiming this downgrade drew enough attention that Insomniac had to comment to emphasize that the puddles had simply changed size and did not look different as a result of an accused downgrade.

The official Insomniac Twitter account, as well as Community Manager James Stevenson, again and again, responded to yet-to-be players concerned about the puddles and what they meant for the game at large to explain there had been no intentional downgrade or deception of the game's visuals.
In addition to the puddle stickers, Spider-Man's latest update also bring two new trophies to coincide with New Game Plus and the Ultimate difficulty.
