Messenger n funciona

Boas a todos,

Tenho o seguinte problema: tenho instalado o Messenger 7 no meu pc c/ win 98 à + de 4 anos. Nunca tive nenhum problema, agora n consigo entrar de maneira nenhuma, da- me o erro 80072f78 mas n consegui descobrir qual era. Já tentei instalar outro programas similares mas tb n consigo pk a maioria s
o dao em xp.

epah eu axo k so da para usar o messager ke vem com o windows e o 7.5 ou o 8 beta, pk a microsoft ganha guito se a malta fizer download dos novos produtos, por isso os msn 7 para baixo n dao.

Boas, n fiz nenhuma actualização, e a versao 7.5 do Messenger não dá para 98, mas o problema por certo outro...

If there are proxy server settings present, you can try to let MSN Messenger make a direct connection: click Tools in the MSN Messenger menu, then choose Options.... In the MSN Messenger options screen select connection in the list to the left. Then click the Advanced Settings... button. In the screen that appears try unchecking all the checkboxes except TCP. Restart MSN Messenger and see if it connects now. If it still does not connect set the checkboxes back and contact the network administrator and ask him take a look at the proxy server (if present).

Não sei se já fizes-te isto, mas não custa nada tentar..

pode ser parvoice mas ja me aconteceu, por acaso ja viste se tens a data\hora correcta na bios ?
é k se não tiver não consegues entrar no MSN, grantidamente....

Boas. Para já, acho boa ideia testares com outro software.. usa o AMSN por exemplo: http://amsn.sourceforge.net/download.php

Usando o Google:

Para solucionar el Error 80072f78 de MSN Messenger haz lo siguiente:

abre tu messenger
dirígete a herramientas
haz clic en opciones
elige la pestaña conexión en la ventana que se abre
pulsa el botón de configuración avanzada
activa sólo la casila "TCP".
Con estos sencillos pasos debería solucionarse el error 80072f78 para siempre.

This error indicates the server gave back an invalid response. Although it can be the MSN Messenger server that is unlikely. It is more likely if you have a proxy server set in the connection settings it is malfunctioning or it can be spyware on your computer rerouting the connection through a spying server.

Obrigado a todos vós pelas excelentes soluções, instalei o amsn e funcionou loguinho!!! Quanto à situação do tcp nas opções do msn , não resultou.
