se for vista o ""server"" partilha simples ou com domínio tens que especificar mais a tua questao a ver se a malta te ajuda a resolver assim é desanimante parar quem lê e inutil para ti

Bom nesse caso o meu conselho é criar uma ""drive de rede"" desculpa o tuga mas só sei dizer em inglês "map a network drive"no cliente e ver se te safas assim!alias esse problema tb acontece muito no xp em alguns casos criar a tal drive de rede obriga o so a verificar constantemente o conteudo da rede.
Infelizmente a maior parte dos serviços de rede que existiam no xp tão escondidos/automatizados ou fora dele simplesmente mas acho que assim vais la.Tenta lá

Ora bem estava com o problema de no Vista n ver as pastas do PC com o XP
Aqui está a solução que encontrei na minha grande pesquisa na net

Logon failure: the user has not been granted the requested logon type at this computer

If you see this message the following should be done on the computer containing the shared files:

Download the following and install it

Windows Server 2003 Resource Kit Tools
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=4544

after installation is complete, click on: Start, All Programs, Windows Resource Kit Tools, Command Shell

Then enter the following commands. (Attention: they are case sensitive.)

net user guest /active:yes
ntrights +r SeNetworkLogonRight -u Guest
ntrights -r SeDenyNetworkLogonRight -u Guest

The first command enables network access for Guest, the two subsequent ones change two different policies to allow
