Whether you believe it good for gaming or not, Cake Mania has been a worldwide success, having been downloaded more than 80 million times in its original form, and in shifting some 315,000 units on the Nintendo DS. Today Majesco Entertainment confirmed that the Nintendo Wii is ready to join the party, with Cake Mania: In the Mix! (That’s their exclamation mark, not ours).
Cake Mania: In The Mix! will see players guiding Jill through nine bakeries, taking on every aspect of the cake-making business, from serving treats to advertising and public relations. Once you’re done and dusted in civilisation, you’ll be able to take your wares to bonus locations such as the rainforest, under the sea, and even the moon. Anti-gravity cakes - mmm!
“Joining Cake Mania’s trademark resource management play with the Wii’s motion-based control is a natural extension of an incredibly successful brand on PC and DS,” said Gui Karyo, Executive Vice President of Operations, Majesco. “The Wii version’s expanded feature set, ranging from catering integration to cake design mini-games, enables fans of the series to experience the franchise in an entirely new way.”

Cake Mania: In the Mix! and new features such as a phone system, and bakery decor is on target for release in early 2009.
