Hy people!! It's my first time writting on this forum, although i've been reading and searching on it to find some help to my Overclocking problem LOL !
Now, back to my problem:
When i started my overclocking (In BIOS all the time) on my A64 3200+ Venice i had experienced a strange problem doing it, when i put the FSB at 251, in windows on CoreCenter the multipler came down automatically to x9.5 instead of x10!!!!
I was desapointed so i let it on 2.4Ghz OC!! Although when i bought my new cooler, Gigabyte G-Power, i started again trying to do some OC and it worked!
When i put the FSB at 251, at windows on core Center i had 251x10!! I was extreamly happy LOL.
Since that day i've been doing some OC but now i have the same problem at 2.7Ghz to 2.8Ghz!! Dam it
Now if i try to put the FSB at 281 in windows on corecenter the multipler happears x9.5 and if i let to stay the 9.5 and increase the FSB to 286 for exemple, the multipler hapears at x8.5!! But the most strange is that CPU-Z and Everest, still showing the old setting (271x10), witch one i put at 281x10 but it happears 281x9.5!!!!!!!!!!
I've tryed to put the multipler manually at x10 but it still's come down to x9.5 automatically!! What should i do to have back again my multipler at x10 ??
I had always excelent temps, around 26 in idle and 40 in full (running SuperPI). I had always tested the stabilaty with Super PI at 32MB and made it succesufuly*!! the Vcore is at 1.60v and i have a divisor 5/6, the mem's are at 2.6V and the timmings are 2.5-3-3-6 and i've been doing OC always with Cool & Quiet Disabled in BIOS! Basicaly the problem is that when i try to go to 2.8Ghz the multipler comes down atomatically from x10 to x9.5 although it be in manual or auto mode in BIOS it still cames down!!
NEED HELP!!!!!
