O projecto do Direct D3D11 over Vulkan parece começar a estar em melhor forma que o D3D11 over OpenGL da própria Wine.

DXVK, the Vulkan compatibility layer for Direct3D 11 and Wine has a fresh release reducing CPU overhead
DXVK is the compatibility layer for running Direct3D 11 games in Wine using Vulkan. It's a very promising project, with a lot of people having fun with it already on Linux.

The latest release, version 0.41, has a slight reduction of overall CPU overhead, has better GPU saturation when Deferred Contexts are used for rendering and features a configurable HUD. The announcement also notes five bugs fixed, one which will make Mesa users happy as it fixes tessellation shaders causing a crash in Mesa drivers.

DXVK 0.41 Released, Slightly More CPU Efficient & Offers A Heads-Up Display
DXVK 0.41 is now available as the library for Wine users to have Direct3D 11 implemented over Vulkan for generally allowing higher performance than Wine's own D3D11-over-OpenGL layer.

DXVK continues making great progress for getting D3D11 over Vulkan. DXVK 0.41 improvements include a slight reduction to the overall CPU overhead, better GPU saturation for deferred contexts, and a configurable HUD. There are also bug fixes to get better in spec with SPIR-V and fixes for the games World of Warships and Nier: Automata, among other fixes.

A funcionar perfeitamente, estes gajos da feral fazem grande trabalho! Tudo em very high ;) Tive ainda pouco tempo, deu para passar o primeiro nivel.
Notei apenas que usa mais RAM que no Windows, de resto sem fps counter (se alguem souber de algum favor dizer) não notei grande diferenca.

20-Way NVIDIA GeForce / AMD Radeon GPU Comparison For Rise of The Tomb Raider On Vulkan/Linux
initial benchmarks of Rise of the Tomb Raider on Linux with Radeon GPUs while making use of the Mesa RADV driver.
The handful of Radeon graphics cards from Vega to GCN 1.0 were tested while using the Linux 4.16 kernel and Mesa 18.1-dev from the Padoka PPA on Ubuntu 17.10.
The NVIDIA tests were done using the 396.18 beta driver, which Feral lists as a requirement for this game. In the testing with the NVIDIA Kepler / Maxwell / Pascal graphics cards with the 396.18 driver for this game it's worked out fine with my initial testing from Ubuntu 17.10.

Xii Estou super curioso para ver resultados, infelizmente o único que posso eventualmente testar será o STALKER, mas quase que me apetece instalar propositadamente só para ver o performance esperado :D

@blaster_00 Não é o ultimo, mas é um enorme passo. :)
Falta algumas tools que ainda uso para trabalhar, tirando isso quase que já se pode migrar, isto se isto dos jogos funcionar bem.
Não esquecer que continua a faltar os jogos da EA :P e o fortnite ^^

Isto é baseado no DXVK, do qual tinha falado até mais acima, e desde que alguém decidiu abandonar o DX -> OGL (acho que só para para DX9 - OpenGL, conhecido por D3D9 ou Gallium 9 funcionava bem no MESA), as coisas começaram a avançar muito mais rapidamente quando alguém decidiu usar o DX -> Vulkan.

A verdade é que havia outros projectos DX -> Vulkan
While there's long been VK9 as an effort to get Direct3D 9 running atop Vulkan and Wine developers planning VKD3D for Direct3D 12 over Vulkan, now coming in between is DXVK for Direct3D 11 support.

DXVK is a two month old project working to implement Direct3D 11 using the Vulkan API. The end goal is that DXVK could be used by Wine for accelerating Direct3D 11 using Vulkan rather than currently with its translation layer to OpenGL.

o Pitoiset era um open source developer que trabalhava no noveau (nvidia), o Rodriguez era da AMD.

Valve Offers Up Proton Beta For Testing Steam Play Enhancements
With the current Proton 3.7-4 Beta available today via Steam, there is Python 3 support rather than being limited to Python 2.7, DXVK has been updated to DXVK 0.70 but the D3D10 support isn't yet turned on, better full-screen game integration, logging improvements with PROTON_LOG=1, controller enhancements, and other work.

Tenho testado com o Dishonored e até agora tem estado stable.

Quem quiser experimentar basta ir às definições da steam, abilitar o steam play e escolher a ferramenta a usar.
