Overall

"Across hardware, software and accessories, products for the Wii platform contributed 28% of total industry dollar sales for the month of August"

Hardware

"The PSP and PS3 systems achieved the greatest percentage gain of all now-gen systems. The sales acceleration of these systems, combined with the recent Xbox 360 price cuts should fuel future growth of this category"

Software[/u][/b]

"Madden NFL '09 was the top-selling game of the month, and launched with 2.3 million units out of retail doors in it's first month, besting last year's '08 title by 2%. Year after year, the industry can count on the Madden release to bring folks into stores during the relatively lazy days of late summer"

"Year-to-date, Grand Theft Auto IV remains the top-selling game at 4.8 million units sold in the U.S. through August"

"Wii Play continues its remarkable track record, achieving a 44% attach rate to new Wii hardware sales for the month. It has remained a top-10 game each month since it's February 2007 introduction"

Accessories

"Xobx Live point cards and gold membership cards represented three of the top-10 accessory items for the month which sheds a little light onto the popularity of this service to Xbox 360 fans"

E pelos vistos a Wii ultrapassou a Xbox360 na América como já se estava à espera, ao ritmo a que ia.
Parabéns à Nintendo pelo feito no curto espaço de tempo :)

Subscrevo.

Não tenho bem a certeza, mas creio que nenhuma consola caseira ultrapassou os 10 milhões de unidades na América em tão curto espaço de tempo O_O
 
E não esquecer que a nivel de software a Wii tambem é das que tem mais jogos nos tops, consequentemente vende mais unidades. Claro que a DS esta a bater os records todos e esta a frente de tudo o resto.

É uma boa notícia as vendas da PS3, demonstra que grandes jogos como o MGS IV são capazes de vender muitas consolas, dado que mais de 200 mil bundles PS3/MGS IV foram vendidos.

A Wii e a DS não são nada de novo, continuam a esmagar a concorrência com vendas absurdas.

A X360 em princípio terá um grande bump em Julho, com a descida de preço e as últimas notícias.

Algo nesses valores que me chamaram á atenção foram os valores do Guitar hero world tour, o pack daquilo custa fortunas, pelo menos segundo os preços cá em portugal, lá como é logico é mais barato mas mesmo assim...........

a serio de todos esses os que mais me impressionam são mesmo é mesmo o lego Indiana Jones, nunca pensei que vendesse tanto, se o jogo estiver metade do divertimento que a saga star wars tinha então há de ser bom de certeza

O METAL GEAR SOLID 4 está a vender muito bem. E nesse número nem estão incluídos os jogos vendidos nos Blundles com PS3. 8|
 
ya mas o FF tambem vai sair na PS3 e e so daqui a muito tempo

e tambem vai sair a pS3 de 80 gb na europa, sem falar de jogos como resistance 2,killzone 2 e gow 3 ( entre muitos outros)
 
Neste ano 2008 tem havido sempre um certo equilíbrio entre a Xbox 360 e PlayStation 3, com ligeira vantagem para esta última.

Nada de relevante tirando este último mês, mas também foi devido ao lançamento do MGS4. Certamente no próximo mês os números da X360 crescerão, e ultrapassará a PS3. Vão andando nisto :p

A ps3 de 80Gb que vai sair penso que e igual a de 40GB so muda mesmo o disco nao tras a retro compatibilidade, a xbox tanbem tem o gears 2, fable 2, banjo, novo "Halo" entre outros tanbem por isso não e so o final fantasy que fara aumentar as vendas ate porque como tu dizes ainda estamos longe do lançamento.
