OCZ Technology Launches the GameXStream Power Supply Line—High Efficiency, Next Generation Gaming PSUs

--OCZ addresses the needs of the performance-minded gaming community with the new 600 and 700 Watt GameXStream PSUs--

Sunnyvale, CA—April 26, 2006—OCZ Technology Group, a worldwide leader in innovative, ultra-high performance and high reliability memory and components, today announced the launch of the extremely powerful GameXStream Power Supplies—a new line of PSUs for performance-minded gamers. After their first power supply release in June 2004, OCZ has become known as a pioneer in high-performance PSUs for overclockers and gamers. With the release of the 600 and 700 watt GameXStreams, OCZ offers affordable power solutions that are among the most powerful power supply units on the market today.

Next generation processors and video cards are essential to hardcore gamers and enthusiasts and sufficient power is needed to experience the full graphics potential of the hardware. The SLI-ready GameXStream line incorporates a high-end core and circuit design ensuring all your vital ***** are supplied a stable and vigorous source of power in even the most intense gaming environments.

"Power consumption, especially of the graphics subsystem, has increased in an almost linear manner with the graphics capabilities," commented Dr. Michael Schuette, VP of Technology Development at OCZ Technology. "Multi-core graphics systems are by far exceeding the power consumption of even the highest central processors and conventional power supply units can no longer satisfy the demand. Based on a completely new core and starting at 600W, the new GameXStream series pushes the envelope for the gaming community to make sure that, even in the most demanding applications, enough power is available."

“As more and more gamers take advantage of the gaming benefits offered by both SLI and Crossfire technology the need for improved power supply solutions increases greatly,” stated Alex Mei, VP of Marketing at OCZ Technology. “We took everything we learned from our award winning line of existing solutions and engineered the GXS line of PSUs to provide gamers with a rock solid offering at an aggressive price. These units are quiet, compact, and reliable, and directly address the needs of gamers, enthusiasts, and high performance system builders.”

The OCZ GameXStream features active PFC (Power Factor Correction) to effectively regulate input voltage and provide superior operation in a wider range of environments and countries with varying voltages.

Owing to OCZ’s proprietary PowerWhisper Technology, the GameXStream is the quietest PSU available so gamers can hear their games and not their PC. Kept ultra-cool with a large 120mm fan, the powerful GameXStream still remains virtually silent and supremely cool even at peak loads.

The high-efficiency 600W and 700W GameXStreams feature a standard-sized power supply form factor resulting in a compact footprint to accommodate virtually all computer towers. The GameXStream PSU connector cables, including dual PCI-Express and a 4/8-pin CPU connector, are wrapped in a flexible mesh promoting a tidy environment inside the case.

All OCZ GameXStream power supplies come backed with an industry-leading three year OCZ PowerSwap Warranty for the ultimate peace of mind. Second to no other gaming PSU, the GameXStream’s unprecedented quality, power, and performance is the preeminent solution for today’s serious gamers.

Pena as bequiet n terem leds :002:
