    É o seguinte, no meu desktop tenho dois discos:

    disk 1 - 3partições: WinXP + FAT + ubuntu
    disk 2 - NTFS

    até aqui na boa, o ubuntu reconhecia a partição FAT, a do XP e o disco NTFS

    Mas ontem instalei o kubuntu e este não encontrava nenhum dos discos.
    Voltei a instalar ubuntu e continua sem apresentar os discos

    Na pasta /media/ só lá estão os leitores de dvd e de disquetes

    que asneira é que fiz desta vez?

    não acontece nada:

    [email protected]:~$ fdisk -l

    e quando meto uma pen dá isto:

    [email protected]:~$ fdisk -l

    Disco /dev/sda: 65 MB, 65511424 bytes
    4 cabeças, 32 setores/trilha, 999 cilindros
    Unidades = cilindros de 128 * 512 = 65536 bytes

    Dispositivo Boot Início Fim Blocos Id Sistema
    /dev/sda1 * 1 1000 63960 b W95 FAT32
    A partição 1 possui fins físico/lógico diferentes:
    fís. = (1023, 3, 32) lógico = (999, 2, 16)
    [email protected]:~$

    Formatei o primeiros disco e voltei a particionar e a instalar o windows e o ubuntu; e está na mesma.

    No windows xp vejo os discos e partições, no ubuntu nada.

    Edit: Meti o LiveDVD do SuperGamer 2 PCLinuxOS, vou a media/ e está lá tudo direitinho, partição do windows e tudo

    fiz dmesg | more

    e naquele confusão toda penso que seja isto a parte dos discos:

    Cunha00 corre o comando fdisk -l como root.

    Destas ultimas vezes que liguei o PC o tipo começou a apitar e o monitor ficou preto.

    depois de fazer reset aquilo abriu logo a BIOS e diz:
    "During the last boot-up your system hung for an improper CPU Speed setting. Your system is now working in safe mode. To optimize the system performance and reliability, make sure the CPU speed conforms to the specifications of your CPU.

    e em CPU Speed tá 2533MHz que é o certo para o meu P4 2.5Ghz

    faço exit e ele continua na boa.
    Será que o processador tá a dar a ultimas?

    ao fazer sudo fdisk -| não acontece nada:
