Codemasters will be unveiling the latest title in its masterful rally series at the games show in May
Codemasters is locked, cocked and preparing to rock at this year's E3 games show in LA in May. Showing off new acquisitions such as Pop Idol and PC World War II RTS Battlefield Command, the publisher will also be unveiling new titles in existing series'. Ah, another Colin McRae then?
"Everyone's expecting to see some kind of expansion," Codemasters explained to us when questioned about Colin McRae being mentioned on an E3-related press announcement. "But it's not that. We will be revealing the next in the series," said the UK publisher, stating in no uncertain terms that it will in fact be debuting Colin McRae 4 at the games show.
Codemasters wasn't dishing out further details, but it did say that we'd be "surprised" by the unveiling. Intriguing.
Colin McRae is one of the major franchises on the rally scene, and, having been impressed by the third in the series, we're keen to see what's in store for number four. Better weather and environmental effects? Better visuals? Better driving physics? Well, those should be a given, so we expect other tricks to appear out the sleeve.
