The decision was apparently prompted by Moore's desire to move his family back to the San Francisco Bay Area for personal reasons. Moore will stay at Microsoft through August to help with the transition, then return to Northern California, where he lived until he took the job.

Chamem-lhe parvo :P

Última edição:
After Electronic Arts bought DSI in 1993, Mattrick was involved in games like the Need for Speed series. In September 2005, Mattrick resigned as president of Electronic Arts Worldwide [1], a position largely involved in game development. Mattrick left EA because he was uninterested in "running a public company" [2].

e?

While Peter Moore wasn't exactly this forthright when chatting it up with us, it's not totally out of character for execs to lash out at rivals from time to time. In the latest chapter of CE-Oh no he didn't, we find Mr. Moore claiming that Sony's "long-term business plan of being successful in Japan is crumbling." Moreover, he continued to knock the PS3 by sidestepping questions of why the Xbox 360 has sold so miserably in the Land of the Rising Sun and suggested that Sony was the one that should be worried about "getting outsold six-to-one." As a finisher, Peter added that he had "built a business plan for Japan," and while sales have indeed been lackluster, he claimed that "Sony was missing its plan by much more" than he was missing his. Seriously, them's fightin' words there.

Eu diria que sai em grande... :-D

No European event for Microsoft

Microsoft's annual European event, called X07 this year, has been cancelled according to Aaron Greenberg, group product manager for Xbox 360 and Xbox Live.

Since the X0 event first began in 2001, Microsoft has used the opportunity to make announcements to the European press. At last year's X06 in Barcelona, for example, the company revealed Halo Wars and its collaboration with Peter Jackson, and at X02, Microsoft announced the acquisition of Rare.

“There is not a real X07 this year but I think that we will figure out some way to talk about 2008 some time at a different event or a different type of programme," Greenberg told Squad XP's Podcast.

X07 cancelled
