Problema com gravador de DVD

Boas.

Tenho um portátil Toshiba Satellite A300-1ID com o seguinte gravador: Pioneer DVRTD08A.

O problema é o seguinte, não consigo gravar nada com este gravador... O portátil é novo (2 meses) e ainda não consegui gravar nada em nenhum programa (Nero, DVD Decrypter, ImgBurn...) e dá-me a seguinte mensagem de erros:

se não encontrares nenhum firmware mais actual, o melhor mesmo é usares a garantia do portatil.

ola

tenho um problema semelhante mas só reparei agora. A minha drive igual á tua desapareceu do sistema. é detectada mas não responde. não aperece no painel juntamente com os outros perifericos. desinstalei e voltei a instalar pelo windows mas acusa falta de controlador. fui á net e instalei o controlador mas continua igual. acho que foi uma actualização do windows que fez isto. o que faço? se for á marca eles vão formatar o disco e instalar o SO e vuala. mas não pode ser essa a unica solução. Ajuda???? Abraço

Corra o editor de registo (REGEDIT) e localize a chave

não tinha nenhum ficheiro chamado UpperFilter apenas o outro.
mas já esta ok.
Sabe o que pode ter acontecido para ficar assim?
